Methods and apparatus in a network node are provided. In an example, a method in a network node in a network is provided. The method comprises sending, to a network data management function, information identifying an association between a Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) and (i) a first network function in the network, and/or (ii) a User Equipment (UE) in the network.

Association with a network data analytics function

An aspect provides a method by user plane function (UPF) in a core network (CN) of a communication network for registering the UPF at a network repository function (NRF) of the CN. The UPF is to selectively route uplink data traffic in one or more data sessions from a user equipment (UE) to one of a plurality of session anchor network functions (NFs). The method by the UPF comprises sending () a registration request to the NRF. The registration request comprises registration information comprising an indication of a type of filter supported by the UPF to selectively route uplink data traffic from a UE to a particular session anchor NF. The type of filter relates to an application identity; and an indication of a value for the indicated type of filter.

Registering and configuring a network function for selectively routing uplink data traffic

Embodiments of a method in a radio access node and a corresponding radio access node are disclosed. The method comprises: sending, to a mobility function entity, first information indicative of a tracking area(s) and a network slice(s) supported by the radio access node; and receiving, from the mobility function entity, second information indicative of a network slice(s) that are: (a) supported by the radio access node and the mobility function entity and (b) permitted by one or more network policies, for each of at least one of the tracking area(s) supported by the radio access node; or (a) supported by the mobility function entity and (b) permitted by one or more network policies, for each of at least one of the tracking area(s) supported by the radio access node. Embodiments of a method in a mobility function entity and a corresponding mobility function entity are also disclosed.

Service area definition at network slicing

There is provided a method for handling a service request. The method is performed by a first service communication proxy (SCP) node. In response to receiving a first request from a first Network Function (NF) node for a further NF node to provide a first service, the first SCP node selects () a second NF node to provide the first service and stores () an identifier of the second NF node. The first SCP node also initiates transmission () towards the second NF node of the first request. In response to receiving, from the second NF node, a first response, the first SCP node stores () location information of the second NF node. The location information of the second NF node is stored in association with the identifier of the second NF node. The first SCP node also initiates transmission () of the first response towards the first NF node.

Service request handling

The present disclosure relates to a method performed by a core network node for enabling handling of data packets in a wireless communication system. The core network node identifies a potentially malicious service data flow associated with a communication device. The core network node assigns, to the potentially malicious service data flow, an identifier value to an identifier. The identifier value indicates that data packets associated with the potentially malicious service data flow should be handled according to a packet handling rule for potentially malicious data packets. The core network node provides an identifier comprising the identifier value towards the communication device towards at least one of an access node that serves the communication device in the access network, and a second core network node that processes data packets to and from the communication device.

Methods, communication device and nodes for enabling handling of data packets in a wireless communication system

According to certain embodiments, a method by a first network node operating as a Radio Access Network (RAN) node for dynamic scheduling prioritization for live uplink streaming includes receiving at least one priority level. Based on the at least one priority level, an expected quality level is determined. The expected quality level is defined as a Quality of Service (QoS) of a QoS flow being scheduled with a service quality above a minimum quality level and below a maximum quality level. A current service quality for a plurality of QoS flows is determined. Based on the combined current service quality and the expected quality level, a scheduling priority for assigning resources to a plurality of QoS flows is determined.

Dynamic prioritization for live streaming

A technique for providing reliable wireless communication between a robot () and a robot controller () in a cloud robotics system is disclosed. A method implementation of the technique is performed by a primary connectivity component () supporting multipath transmission over a plurality of wireless transmission paths to establish connectivity between the robot () and the robot controller (). The method comprises triggering determining (S) a robot sensitivity value indicating a degree of operation sensitivity of the robot () to a transmission failure between the robot () and the robot controller (), and triggering configuring (S) use of one or more of the plurality of wireless transmission paths for communication between the robot () and the robot controller () depending on the determined robot sensitivity value.

Technique for reliable communication in a cloud robotics system

According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method of paging policy differentiation in a 5G telecommunications network is provided. A User Plane Function (UPF) receives downlink data for a target User Equipment (UE), and provides a data notification to a Session Management Function (SMF), the data notification comprising a Quality of Service (QoS) indicator, which the SMF uses to determine QoS Information (QoSI) that is sent to an Access Management Function (AMF). The AMF determines whether a paging policy selection should be performed by the AMF or by a Radio Access Node (RAN) that serves the target UE: if by the AMF, the AMF selects a paging policy based on the QoSI and sends a paging message to the RAN, which pages the UE; if by the RAN, the AMF provides paging policy information to the RAN, which selects a paging policy and pages the UE accordingly.

Paging policy differentiation in 5G system

Embodiments herein relate to methods and devices for handling access priority of a wireless device in a wireless network. In particular, embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a wireless network access node for managing/handling access priority associated with a wireless device, which wireless device is requesting access to the wireless network is provided. The method comprises receiving from a mobility management node a message comprising Quality of Service, QoS, information associated with the wireless device; determining access priority related information associated with the wireless device based on the received QoS information; and transmitting the access priority related information associated with the wireless device to the wireless device. Methods and devices for managing access priority of a wireless device

A method for registering a UE in a visited network. The method includes the UE selecting a home network slice identity (h-NSI), wherein the h-NSI is associated with an index value. The method also includes the UE obtaining the index value with which the selected h-NSI is associated, and after obtaining the index value, the UE transmitting a registration message towards a control node, the registration message comprising a requested NSI (r-NSI) (e.g., an S-NSSAI) and the obtained index value. The method further includes the UE receiving a registration response message comprising an allowed NSI (a-NSI) and an index value associated with the a-NSI.
