The system includes a dispensing device configured to receive the transmitted recipe from the mobile user device and dispense each of the plurality of separate skincare formulation ingredients onto a common dispensing surface such that when the dispensed amounts of each of the plurality of separate skincare formulation ingredients is blended on the dispensing surface, the target skincare formulation is achieved. The mobile user device is configured to present at least one candidate priority skin condition to the user, that is addressed by the target skincare formulation, based on a user profile of the user of the smartphone.

Ecosystem for dispensing personalized skincare product

A system is provided that includes a dispensing device configured to receive at least one cartridge that contains a cosmetic material and to dispense a specified amount of the cosmetic material from the cartridge into a receiving area, the at least one cartridge including an electronic communication and storage device configured to store data regarding the cosmetic material stored in the cartridge. A system is provided that includes a mobile user device that executes an application that determines a skintone of a user, and determines and transmits a recipe for generating a target foundation that is based on a combination of a plurality of separate foundation ingredients that are associated with the skintone of the user. The system includes a dispensing device configured to receive the transmitted recipe from the mobile user device and dispense each of the plurality of separate foundation ingredients onto a common dispensing surface such that when the dispensed amounts of each of the plurality of separate foundation ingredients is blended on the dispensing surface, the target foundation is achieved. The mobile user device is configured to determine a skintone of the user based on features in a detected face of the user in a self-taken image of the user that is captured by a camera of the mobile user device.

A computer system obtains at least one 3D scan of a body surface; automatically identifies, based on the at least one 3D scan, one or more features (e.g., nose, lips, eyes, eyebrows, cheekbones, or specific portions thereof, or other features) of the body surface; and generates a digital 3D model of the body surface. The digital 3D model includes the identified features of the human body surface. In an embodiment, the step of generating of the digital 3D model is based on the at least one 3D scan and the identified features of the body surface. In an embodiment, the digital 3D model comprises a 3D mesh file. The digital 3D model can be used in various ways. For example, output of a manufacturing process (e.g., a 3D printed item, a cosmetics product, a personal care product) can be based on the digital 3D model.

The apparatus includes a retractable plate disposed beneath the detachable portion, where a dispensing end of the at least one cartridge is configured to penetrate the retractable plate and the detachable portion. When the retractable plate is at a stable highest position, the dispensing end of the at least one cartridge is flush with the surface of the retractable plate. When the retractable plate is moved to a predetermined stable downward position below the highest position, and the detachable portion is placed on the retractable surface, the dispensing end of the at least one cartridge is flush with the dispensing surface and the retractable plate is configured to move even further downward to an unstable position in response to a downward force on the detachable portion.
