An apparatus includes a clamping body which includes a lever which bears against a saw blade inserted into the clamping body. A tension spring is connected to the lever and to the clamping body and the tension spring bears against a pin which is slideably mounted in the clamping body. The pin bears against the saw blade and moves the saw blade out of engagement with form-lock projections in the clamping body when the lever is moved to an unlocked position.

A chuck has a chuck body and a clamping sleeve as well as tool clamping jaws which are held in oblique guides and which, by rotation of the chuck body, can be displaced relative to the clamping sleeve. It furthermore has a tightening device which has a compression spring, which acts in the direction of rotation, an intermediate ring acted on thereby which is rotatable with respect to the chuck body and the clamping sleeve, an unlockable locking member on the intermediate ring, and an outside, rotatable gripping sleeve having an inner stop for the intermediate ring.

A gearwheel has a coaxial trough which is closed by a first lid to form an inner storage chamber for grease and is also closed by a second lid to form an outer storage chamber. The circumferential surfaces of the first and second lids sealingly adjoin the outer wall of the coaxial trough and each of the lids has a narrow groove for controlled metering of the grease.

A motor-driven machine with integrated suction duct removal of chips drawn or sucked into the machine, comprising: a drive motor; a suction removal fan including a fan wheel connected to and driven by the drive motor, the fan wheel having a plurality of blades; an air guide housing within which the blades rotate, the air guide housing having an inlet and an outlet, and defining a front wall; a suction conduit associated with the inlet of the air guide housing the suction conduit serving to conduct air and chips to the air guide housing; and a disintegrating element situated at the inlet of the air guide housing and in communication with the suction conduit, and extending between the front wall and the blades, the disintegrating element being fixed relative to the air guide housing. The blades of the fan wheel extend axially, face the front wall and define a gap with the disintegrating element. At least one cutting edge-like raised portion is formed on the disintegrating element in the gap, and sucked-in chips are disintegrated by means of the blades and the at least one cutting edge-like raised portion.

Motor-driven machine

A cordless electrical tool has a housing forming a pair of battery mounts, an electrical motor in the housing, respective batteries removably carried in the mounts, and circuitry connecting the batteries in series with each other and across the motor. A cutoff switch is connected in series between the batteries and the motor and can open to electrically disconnect the motor from the batteries. Respective control circuits detect the charge levels of the batteries and open the cutoff switch when the respective charge level drops below a predetermined threshold. Respective light-emitting diodes are provided to indicate which of the batteries is below its permissible charge.

Cordless dual-battery electric tool

A power tool has a housing, a blade support reciprocal in the housing, a blade carried on the support for joint reciprocation therewith and projecting from the housing at a work area, and a drive in the housing for reciprocating the support and blade. A bulb generally fixedly mounted in the housing adjacent the support, elastically compressible from a large volume to a small volume, and having an outlet is operatively engageable with an actuator formation between the blade support and the bulb so as to compress the bulb each time the support reciprocates and thereby emit a gust of air from the bulb outlet. A nozzle or conduit is mounted on the outlet and open at the work area for directing the gusts of air at the area and thereby blowing chips and dust created by the blade from the area with each reciprocation of the blade.

A hammer drill has clamping jaws which are provided, in addition to clamping surfaces for radial clamping a cylindrical tool shaft, also with additional axially extending guiding surfaces for axially non-rotatably holding and guiding of the tool shaft, and the tool shaft is provided with guiding grooves associated with the clamping jaws.

In the following is described a guard device (11) for hedging shears, which have two cutter bars (13, 12) which are arranged parallel one above the other and are reciprocable relatively to one another, at least one of which bars is driven. To avoid the danger in the use of hedging shears (10) which might arise as the result of contact with the ground by the movable cutter bars, the leading ends of the two cutter bars (12, 13) is provided with a guard element projecting beyond it in the longitudinal direction and adapted to be fastened to a fixed structural part of the hedging shears (10).

The spindle neck of a manually held power drill is to be releasably secured in a slotted sleeve of an auxiliary tool unit. For this purpose a tensioning band is provided which surrounds the sleeve and tensions the same about the spindle neck, and a manually operable tensioning-lever arrangement is provided which requires no use of tools and which serves for rapidly engaging and disengaging the tensioning band.

A chuck for hammerdrills and the like is provided with a chuck body; a plurality of jaws on said chuck body for engaging and holding a tool bit; and means connected to said jaws for adjusting the engagement of said jaws with the tool bit, said means comprising a guide sleeve having a main portion with an outer and inner surface, said main portion defining a central axis therethrough, a toothed gear encircled by said sleeve and having a circumferentially extending groove having a roughened surface facing the inner surface of said sleeve, said sleeve including at least one inwardly offset locking portion having an outer and inner surface which are inwardly offset with respect to the main portion of said sleeve, said inwardly offset portion projecting into said groove.
