Provided is an evacuation device for an inkjet printing device that is designed to guide a printed recording medium along a transport direction through a constriction with an opposite gas flow, in order to be able to efficiently and comprehensively evacuate ink vapor before the constriction, in terms of the transport direction.

In a method and a printing device for influencing an optical property of a varnish layer to be applied onto a printed recording medium, a coating substance is applied onto the recording medium by digital printing before the printing of at least one color separation of the print image on said recording medium. The quantity of the coating substance applied per area unit may be adjusted depending on the desired optical property of the varnish layer to be applied later.

Method and printing device for influencing an optical property of a varnish layer to be applied onto a printed recording medium

A printer or copier operates to print a carrier material on both sides. A transfer station in the printer or copier has two transfer bands which transfer toner images onto the supporting material. A transfer corotron recharges the toner particles to a polarity for transfer to the carrier material at a transfer location. A first transfer mode provides for accumulating a plurality of toner images on the transfer band before transfer to the carrier material. A second transfer mode provides continuous transfer of the toner image to the carrier material.

Printer or copier for simultaneously printing a supporting material on both sides

A printer or copier apparatus is fashioned in such a way that with a single apparatus a recording medium can be printed both with magnetically readable toner (MICR toner) and also with standard toner. For this purpose, it contains one or more correspondingly fashioned developer stations (ES) and a control unit for the adaptation of the print process parameters dependent on the mode of operation.
