Sealing unit adapted to be coupled to a rolling-element bearing to seal off the annular space between an inner ring and an outer ring of the bearing, the sealing unit having a stiffening core, and an elastomeric annular element that is rigidly secured to the stiffening core and provided with a sealing lip and a root portion, which is positioned radially on the opposite side of the sealing lip, and which can be snap-fitted into a groove of the outer ring in order to abut the root portion on a front wall of the groove with the core facing toward the outside of bearing.

Sealing unit for rolling-element bearings

A sealing assembly for two relatively rotating mechanical members, e.g. the two rings of a rolling-contact bearing, and of the type incorporating a sealing ring and a magnetic ring, both integral with a rigid first shield. The first shield has a radial flange. The sealing assembly also includes a covering of elastomeric material having a base portion extending on one face of the flange. The magnetic ring has an annular surface bonded to the base portion of the covering, and projects axially from the flange. The base portion of the covering is interposed axially between the flange and the magnetic ring, and is shaped to define a deformable locating and supporting mechanism for locating and supporting the magnetic ring.

A screw actuator comprises a nut and a screw each comprising helical grooves, said nut and screw engaging each other by rollers or balls which are in contact with said grooves, a lubricant being provided for the grooves and rollers or balls. Integrated in the actuator is a module, which is connected to at least the helical grooves of the nut and/or screw for replenishing the lubricant for the grooves and rollers or balls of the actuator.

A screw actuator comprises a screw ( ) and a nut ( ) which are each provided with at least a helical groove ( ), and a series of rollers or balls ( ) which are in rolling contact with the grooves ( ). A sleeve ( ) is provided which surrounds the nut ( ) at least partly. The sleeve ( ) may carry a seal ( ) which acts between the nut ( ) and screw ( ); e.g. a wiper seal. The seal ( ) may be fixedly connected to the nut ( ), and frictionally engage the screw ( ).

A sealing assembly for a pump shaft, having a metal supporting structure, and a sealing ring in turn having a main sealing lip and a secondary lip, which extend axially in opposite directions and define an annular cavity together with a lateral surface of the shaft. When undeformed, the diameters of the two lips are such as to respectively determine a predetermined amount of interference and a radial clearance with the shaft. The sealing ring is so formed as to be deformed elastically by the interference fit between the main lip and the shaft, so as to cause the secondary lip to cooperate with the shaft with substantially no interference. The secondary lip is defined between two annular sides converging with each other to form a sealing edge towards a lateral surface of the shaft; and the side located on the opposite side to the annular cavity is defined by an oblique annular surface defining in radial section an acute angle with the shaft so as to receive, in use, a sufficient radial thrust to raise the secondary lip slightly and allow fluid to leak into the annular cavity.
