A multi-layered prosthetic element comprises a central body (') of a substantially truncated conical shape and having a through axial cavity (&#x2032;) open at both ends which gives the central body (&#x2032;) a ring-shaped cross-section. The central body (&#x2032;) comprises an outer portion (&#x2032;), made of trabecular metal material, an inner portion (&#x2032;), made of trabecular metal material, and an intermediate portion (&#x2032;) made of metal material without significant porosity. The outer portion (&#x2032;) and the inner portion (&#x2032;) are integrally connected to the intermediate portion (&#x2032;). The intermediate portion (&#x2032;) is configured to mechanically resist to stresses transmitted to the inner portion (&#x2032;) on one side and to the outer portion (&#x2032;) on the other side.

A set of instruments is for implantation of an acetabular prosthesis. The set of instruments may include a tool configured to operate in an acetabular cavity of a patient, a first emitter associated with the tool and configured to emit a control signal to be aligned with a reference signal for identifying a correct orientation of the tool relative to the acetabular cavity, and an acetabular reference guide to be fixed to a bone site of the patient separate from the acetabular cavity. The set of instruments may include a second emitter associated with the acetabular reference guide and configured to emit the reference signal.

Set of instruments for the implantation of an acetabular prosthesis

A method is for implantation of an acetabular prosthesis. The method may include positioning an acetabular calibration guide at an acetabular cavity of a patient, and positioning an acetabular reference guide at a bone site of the patient separate from the acetabular cavity. The method may include aligning a calibration signal and a reference signal, the calibration and reference signals being respectively associated with the acetabular calibration guide and the acetabular reference guide. The method may include removing the acetabular calibration guide and positioning a tool at the acetabular cavity of the patient, and aligning a control signal and the reference signal for identifying a desired orientation of the tool relative to the acetabular cavity, the control signal being associated with the tool.

The invention relates to a surgical guide (') for implanting a knee prosthesis, advantageously capable of allowing the intraoperative balancing of the knee ligaments, comprising: a first component (G, G&#x2032;) intended for uniquely coupling with the distal epiphyseal end (Ed) of a femur (Fe); a template (Gr, Gr&#x2032;) rotatably mounted with respect to said first component (G, G&#x2032;) and intended for guiding a marking operation of said distal epiphyseal end (Ed) aimed to determine the position of a knee prosthesis to be implanted; and a second component (G) intended for solidly coupling said template (Gr, Gr&#x2032;) with a proximal epiphyseal end (Ep) of a tibia (Ti) corresponding to said femur (Fe).

The device, tool, instrument and the like, for patellar resurfacing, according to the invention, comprises at least one bearing framework (IN), which incorporates a cutting slot (Tpg) and a lower support guide (G) which may assume different positions with respect to the center of the patellar articular surface. The device is completed by an upper support guide (G) of the patella for maintaining the shape-constraint coupling between the bearing framework and the patella. Advantageously the device uses the peripheral surface (and not the central one) of said patella, guaranteeing minimal invasiveness and perfect visibility.
