A first communication device and a second communication device for an iterative code design are provided. The first communication device generates and transmits sets of parity symbols and receives the transmitted sets of parity symbols from a second communication device. The sets of parity symbols are generated based on using a first generator device and based on previously transmitted systematic symbols and computed noise values. The second communication device buffers received systematic symbols and sets of parity symbols and jointly decodes them. Thereby, an iterative code design is provided with improved performance. Furthermore, the disclosure also relates to corresponding methods and a computer program.

A transmitting device and a receiving device for reliable reception of control messages such as downlink control information is provided. The transmitting device forms a control message which comprises control information, a first CRC word (W1) and a second CRC word (W2). The control message is sent to the receiving device which obtains a first CRC check outcome based on performing a first CRC check on the control message, and a second CRC check outcome based on performing a second CRC check on the control message. Thereby, more reliable reception of control messages is possible. Furthermore, the present application also relates to corresponding methods and a computer program.

Devices, methods and non-transitory computer-readable medium for adaptively selective retransmissions in wireless communications are disclosed. The present application allows enhancing short packet data retransmission performance under short delay constraints. Using a retransmission indication for at least one segment of consecutive forward error correction (FEC) encoded bits reduces feedback signaling overhead compared to signaling retransmission requests individually for each of the coded bits. Accordingly, active hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmissions with low amounts of feedback information are enabled.

Devices, methods and non-transitory computer-readable mediums for adaptively selective retransmission in wireless communications

The invention relates to a transmitter device and a receiver device for efficient transmission of information messages. The transmitter device superposes a selected subset of columns of a projection matrix based on an information message so as to obtain a signal for transmission. The signal is transmitted to the receiver device. The receiver device performs iterative successive interference cancellation on a received signal based on a projection matrix so as to obtain a subset of the columns of the projection matrix and therefrom obtains a recovered information message based on the subset of the columns of the projection matrix. Thereby, it is provided a sparse superposition coding scheme with quasi-orthogonal projection matrix achieving good performance in respect of spectral efficiency. Furthermore, the invention also relates to corresponding methods and a computer program.

A data processing method and a data processing apparatus are provided to reduce a bit error rate of a wireless communications system and improve transmission performance of the wireless communications system. The method includes: mapping L to-be-sent bits to L bit locations included in at least one modulation symbol, where the L to-be-sent bits include at least one bit field, a bit in a bit field having a high priority is preferentially mapped to a bit location that is of the at least one modulation symbol and that has a high reliability level, the at least one bit field is at least one of an information bit field, a first parity bit field, and a second parity bit field; and outputting the at least one modulation symbol.

Wireless communication data processing method and apparatus for reducing bit error rate

A transmitting device is described for a communication system. The transmitting device obtains an information message comprising information bits addressed for a receiving device and encodes the information message to obtain a codeword. The transmitting device rate-matches the codeword to produce a rate-matched codeword comprising systematic bits and parity-check bits. Furthermore, the transmitting device jointly interleaves the systematic bits and parity-check bits of the rate-matched codeword to obtain an interleaved codeword. The systematic bits of the interleaved codeword are mapped to modulation label positions of a modulation constellation with first reliabilities, and the parity-check bits of the interleaved codeword are mapped to modulation label positions of the modulation constellation with second reliabilities.
