A refrigerator includes a rear assembly panel coupled with an assembly cover panel that includes at least one vent. At least one circulation fan is positioned between the rear assembly panel and the assembly cover panel and is proximate the at least one vent. A filter is positioned between the rear assembly panel and the assembly cover panel and is coupled to a photocatalyst to form an activated carbon filter. A light-emitting diode (LED) panel assembly includes a plurality of LEDs positioned on the rear assembly panel and is positioned to project light on the activated carbon filter. An air circulation path extends through the at least one vent and the activated carbon filter and is configured to direct air along the air circulation path, and the activated carbon filter is configured to filter airborne bacteria and particulate matter from the air as the air passes through the activated carbon filter.

The present invention related to a thermoplastic composition, suitable to be submitted to common methods of heat forming, or thermoforming, of thermoplastic materials, as well as the thermoformed composite material which is obtained/can be obtained from said thermoplastic composition, said thermoplastic composition and said thermoformed composite material derived therefrom comprising the combination of cellulose with a thermoplastic material comprising a hydrolysable or hydrosoluble polyhydroxylated polymer, such as starch or a polymer based on polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), wherein cellulose is available in an amount ranging from 30 to 60% by Weight, preferably from 40 to 60% by weight, said percentages being calculated on 100 parts by weight of the combination of cellulose with the thermoplastic material comprising a hydrolysable or hydrosoluble polyhydroxylated polymer.

Highly environmentally sustainable composite material

A refrigerator includes a cabinet coupled to one or more doors forming a storage compartment. The refrigerator additionally includes a first fan assembly positioned on an interior surface of a first cabinet wall, and a second fan assembly positioned on the interior surface of a second cabinet wall. The first and second fan assemblies each include: two or more circulation fans; a filter coupled to a photocatalyst to form an activated filter; and a plurality of UV LEDs positioned to project light on the activated filter. An air circulation path is configured to direct air born bacteria and particulate matter within the storage compartment contemporaneously into the first and second fan assemblies using the two or more circulation fans and circulate filtered air into the storage compartment through the activated filter disposed in the air circulation path.

A substrate of a metal selected from the group consisting of titanium, tantalum, titanium alloys and tantalum alloys, modified by anodic spark deposition (ASD) on the surface thereof of a microporous and nanoroughened layer of the oxide of the same metal, said layer being enriched with Ca, P, Si, Na, and at least one metal selected from Ag and Ga. The ratio between the concentration of calcium and the concentration of phosphorus is greater than two and the biomimetic osteointegrative interface further comprising a second layer having a first surface in contact with the first layer, and a second surface, the second layer having a fourth concentration of oxide enriched with a fifth concentration of calcium and a sixth concentration of phosphorus, the fourth concentration being less than the fifth and sixth concentrations and the ratio between the fifth concentration of calcium and the sixth concentration of phosphorus being no less than three.

Osteointegrative interface

A method for the biomimetic treatment of an osteointegrative interface on a substrate of biocompatible metal of titanium, tantalum, or their alloys, includes performing a first anodic spark deposition (ASD) treatment of the osteointegrative interface in a calcium glycerophosphate solution, performing a second ASD anodic deposition treatment of the osteointegrative interface in a calcium hydroxide solution and performing an immersion of the osteointegrative interface in a potassium or sodium hydroxide solution.

An interface including a substrate of biocompatible material such as titanium, tantalum or their alloys having, on the surface of the substrate, a first layer having a first concentration of oxide of the biocompatible material, enriched with a second concentration of phosphorus and with a third concentration of calcium, the ratio between the concentration of calcium and the concentration of phosphorus being greater than two. The interface also includes a second layer having a first surface in contact with the first layer and a second surface. The second layer has a fourth concentration of oxide enriched with a fifth concentration of calcium and a sixth concentration of phosphorus. The fourth concentration is less than the fifth and sixth concentrations and the ratio between the fifth concentration of calcium and the sixth concentration of phosphorus is no less than three.
