A method is disclosed for monitoring the audience of an advertisement over a content distribution system, the advertisement comprising an advertising message associated with an audio content. The method comprises: inserting, within the message, an advertising identifier associated with the advertisement and distributing the audio content with the advertising message to a user of the content distribution system; at a first user device configured to receive the audio content, playing the audio content with the advertising message; at a second user device connected to the first user device and configured to communicate with a data collection server over a data communication network, retrieving a customer identifier uniquely associated with the user; and, during or after playing, sending by the second user device the customer identifier and the advertising identifier extracted from the advertising message to the server to monitor the audience of the advertising message.

Advertising audience monitoring in a content distribution system

A method is disclosed for protecting a multimedia content distributed by a content service to a user device, the multimedia content being related to a live event, wherein the method comprises, during the live event: identifying a significant segment of the live event; generating a trigger signal associated with the significant segment; at the user device, on the basis of the trigger signal, generating a marking comprising information identifying the user device; and, at the user device, applying the marking to a selected portion of the multimedia content, the selected portion corresponding to the significant segment of the live event.

Multimedia content protection

A method is disclosed for providing secure access to multimedia content to a user of a content service at a first user device configured to enable the user to consume the multimedia content. The method comprises: providing, from a second user device, a user identifier to a service provider of the content service, the second user device being provided with a subscriber identity module enabling the second user device to connect to a cellular communication network, the user identifier comprising an identifier of the subscriber identity module; at the second user device, receiving an access key from the service provider, through the cellular communication network, the access key being associated with the user identifier; providing the access key from the second user device to the first user device through a short-range connection, and at the first user device, using the access key to access the multimedia content.

Multimedia content secure access

A method and device for authenticating a user of a communication device accessing an online service. The online service is accessible over a data network and is provided through a service platform. The communication device is connected to a mobile phone network and to the data network. The communication device includes an interface software application configured to interact with the service platform through the data network for fruition of the online service, and a messaging function configured to send messages through the mobile phone network. A user-side authentication application is provided at the communication device, a provider-side authentication application is provided at the service platform, and an authentication control function is provided in communication relationship with the provider-side authentication application and with the mobile phone network.
