An anti-spin system adapted for use on a rock crusher having stationary frame, a crushing head, a crushing head pivot point, a shaft, bearings, a crushing chamber, crushing chamber liners and working fluid. The preferred anti-spin system includes a flow source which is adapted to provide working fluid flow, a working fluid source which is adapted to supply working fluid, a control valve which is in fluid communication with the working fluid source and being adapted to allow the working fluid to flow to the flow source, and a torque transmittal assembly which is adapted to connect the crushing head and the flow source and transmit torque from the crushing head to the stationary frame. The preferred anti-spin system is adapted to control rotation of the crushing head. A method comprising providing such an anti-spin system and controlling the rotation of the crushing head.

Apparatus and method for an anti-spin system

A bearing assembly system adapted for use on a rock crusher having a main frame, a main shaft, an eccentric and a crushing head. The bearing assembly system comprises a first bearing ring which is disposed around the main shaft, a second bearing ring which is disposed adjacent to the first bearing ring, and a means for conveying fluid to at least one of the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring. In the preferred bearing assembly system at least one of the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring comprises a fluid depression. The preferred method further comprises conveying fluid from the means for conveying fluid to at least one of the first bearing ring and second bearing ring.

A liner system, adapted for use with a rock crusher having a support bowl and a concave ring. The liner system comprises a collet that is adapted to apply a force to the concave ring and a collet adjuster that is adapted to lower and raise the collet, in the preferred liner system, the concave ring is removably retained in the support bowl of the rock crusher by the liner system. A method for adjusting a collet comprising providing such a liner system and adjusting the collet adjuster so as to removably retain the concave ring.

A sealing system adapted for use on an item of equipment having a male threaded component including a male threaded section having an interior portion. The sealing system comprises a female threaded component having a female threaded section and a scraper seal groove. The sealing system also comprises a scraper seal that is configured to be disposed in the scraper seal groove of the female threaded component and fit into the male threaded section of the male threaded component. The forces produced by the item of equipment pass directly to the female threaded component from the male threaded section. A method for sealing an interior portion of a threaded section of the male threaded component comprising providing such a sealing system and screwing the male threaded component, into the female threaded component.

A crusher adapted to crush feed materials comprising a main frame, a secondary frame disposed adjacent to the main frame, a crushing chamber adapted to receive feed materials, and a tramp iron relief system comprising a cylinder. The tramp iron relief system is adapted to allow a portion of the secondary frame to move away from the main frame. The cylinder is disposed substantially adjacent to the secondary frame. A method for installing a cylinder on a crusher and a method for removing a cylinder from a crusher wherein a lifting device remains attached to the cylinder continuously during each operation.

A segmented wear resistant band for protecting a surface subject to wear in a crusher is comprised of segments or concaves. The segments of the wear resistant band can be separated from each other by portions of reduced thickness. The portions of reduced thickness can be cut after the installation to the surface. The segments can also include a flange for reception in a recess between a spider and the top shell of a gyratory crusher.

A spider sleeve and seal apparatus for a gyratory crusher has upper and lower cylindrical sleeves disposed between the spider and a vertically slidable piston. Fixed o-rings are located between the sleeves and the spider, and moving seals are located in the piston. These seals prevent leakage from the hydraulic ring used to support the piston and shaft of the gyratory crusher.

A bearing retainer apparatus for a gyratory crusher is comprised of a bearing having a ball, a shaft disposed within the ball, and a plate secured to the shaft. Further, a method of assembling a bearing retainer system for a gyratory crusher includes attaching a bearing retainer plate onto the shaft of the crusher using bearing retainer bolts such that the bearing is clamped onto the shaft.

A dust seal system for a gyratory crusher having a shaft and a frame includes a bracket attached to the frame, a dust seal, and a collar. The bracket has a slot into which the dust seal is disposed, and the collar is in contact with the seal during crusher operation.

A gyratory crusher uses a new spider arm guard and rim liner arrangement. The spider arm guard and rim liner are retained on the spider by means of a dowel and recess system.

A socket seal for a gyratory crusher is comprised of a ring with a pair of lips extending therefrom. The ring can have an outwardly expanding dovetail which is inserted into a slot in the piston or hemispherical bearing socket. The seal prevents downward flow of oil from the lubricated space between the hemispherical bearing ball and socket.

A gyratory crusher uses a new head nut attachment apparatus. The gyratory crusher has a shell, a shaft disposed within the shell, a mantle covering a portion of the shaft, a head nut located above the mantle, and a sleeve between the head nut and the shaft. The sleeve is maintained in position on the shaft by means of a tapered contact surface between the sleeve and the shaft, and the head nut is threaded onto the sleeve.
