One embodiment relates to an orthopedic precast that, upon an application of heat of a prescribed level while the orthopedic precast is worn adjacent to a targeted body part of the patient, transitions into an orthosis that conforms with the body part. The orthopedic precast includes a first portion and an interconnect. The first portion is formed of interwoven strands of a first thermoplastic material having a first melting temperature. These interwoven strands forming a pathway within the first portion. The interconnect is positioned within the pathway, wherein the interconnect is configured to receive power and radiate heat based on current flowing through the interconnect. Responsive to the interconnect supplying radiating heat of at least the first melting temperature, the first thermoplastic material partially melts and, upon subsequent cooling, the first portion transitions from flexible material into a rigid structure of the orthosis.

Customized wearable with integrated pathways and/or interconnects

A spine brace features a first and a second arm covering a first and a second side of the patient, respectively. Each arm features a middle band disposed between an upper band and a lower band, and an adjustment mechanism that allows for independent adjustment of each band. Each arm may feature a cord coupled to the pulley base to tighten the brace. The adjustment mechanism may include slots for each of the bands, and the upper and lower slots are angled with respect to the middle slot. The first and second arms are removably coupled together using a hook and loop coupling. The brace further features a T-shaped opening that narrows in a center of the adjustment mechanism.

Adjustable multi-band spine brace system

A brace configured to wrap around a lumbar region of a wearer features a first arm and a second arm. Each arm features a first band, a panel slidably disposed at a lateral side of the wearer and coupled to the first band, and a loop connector coupled to the panel on a first end of the panel. The first band has a horizontally extending channel, within which the panel moves. The panel features a rigid material, and the loop connector is tethered to the panel. Moving the connector loop causes moving the panel laterally, which adjusts a location of the panel around the lumbar region of the wearer. The brace may further feature an upper band and a lower band.

A height adjustable orthosis is described. The orthosis features a belt and a posterior frame. Coupled to the belt, the posterior frame includes a first panel including at least a first fastener and a second rear panel including at least a first lock member and a second locking member. The first panel and the second panel are configured to move vertically relative to each other to position the first fastener to engage at least (1) the first locking member at a first height or (2) the second locking member as a second height.

A sleeve for covering an external surface of an orthosis is described, where the orthosis includes an adjustable posterior frame featuring a first panel slidably coupled to a second panel. The sleeve includes (i) a first material forming an anterior side of the sleeve; (ii) a second material forming a posterior side of the sleeve; (iii) a first padded area attached to a first region of an inner surface of the first material partially forming the anterior side of the sleeve, (iv) a second padded area attached to a second region of an inner surface of first material partially forming the anterior side of the sleeve, and (v) an elastic middle area of the second material interposed between an upper area of the second material proximate to the first padded area and a lower area of the second material proximate to the second padded area.

A high-visibility includes a sleeveless garment having a collar, a plurality of reflective torso stripes, and a reflective collar stripe. The high-visibility vest is to be worn on a torso of a wearer-user and is useful for providing higher visibility to a torso area and a neck area of the wearer-user with a polished and professional appearance.

A back brace is designed to custom fit a wearer in a multitude of different configurations. First, the back brace could have a lumbar support that is split into upper and lower sections that are connected to a flexible joint, allowing the lumbar support to bend towards the spine of the user. The lumbar support is also generally split into left and right sections that are drawn towards one another while the joint bends towards the lumbar curve. This allows the back brace to conform to the lumbar curve of the wearer as a custom fit. Second, the brace could have optional extenders that alter the support length, width, and height of lumbar and lateral supports about the wearer. Third, the brace could have reinforcement support mechanisms that alter the rigidity of various lumbar and lateral supports about the wearer.

Highly adjustable lumbar brace

The double pull body brace comprises a one-piece panel which engages around the torso and overlaps at the front. At the overlap, it is attached to itself by means of a hook-and-loop fastener so that a wide range of adjustment is possible. In the back, spaced cord guides are mounted on said panel. Each cord guide carries a plurality of cord guide lobes. An upper cord is engaged around the upper cord guide lobes, and a lower cord is engaged around the lower cord guide lobes. These cords are separately attached to pull tabs. When donned, the user pulls on the pull tabs to separately adjust upper and lower closure tension of the body brace. When in correct adjustment, the pull tabs are attached in place by hook-and-loop fasteners.
