A compartmentalization system for an industrial tote includes a base; side walls, which include recesses for retaining bins within the tote; and end walls. The tote may include eight recesses in each side wall for receiving a pair of inserts on a bin. The bins typically include two or four tabs. The bins that are used with the tote system include a base, opposed side walls, and end walls that define the interior of the bin. Typically, a lip formed at the top of the side and end walls to improve strength and stability. The tabs are formed on the exterior of at least one side wall. The tab is inserted into the recess in the tote. Each tab includes a riser that is substantially normal to the sidewall and a tab formed at the end of the riser so that the tab is spaced apart from the sidewall.

A stackable storage bin includes a body having a rim extending around an open top. A first angled slot is formed in an upper edge of each side wall adjacent a rear end thereof and a vertical second slot is formed in the upper edge of each side wall at a position forwardly from the first slot. An angled first tab is formed adjacent the bottom edge of each side wall in a position vertically aligned with the first slot and a vertical second tab is formed adjacent a bottom edge of each side wall at a position vertically aligned with the vertical second slot whereby when two of the bins are in the vertically stacked array, the tabs on the bottom of an upper bin engage the slots on the lower bin to interlock the two bins together.

A bracket (10) is utilized to mount a mailbox (11) to a wide variety of stanchion configurations (39, 41, 42). The bracket (10) includes opposed side walls (18), opposed end walls (20) and a bottom surface which includes rib members (25). Spaced flanges (35) depend from the bottom of the rib members (25) and have aligned bores (37) therein permitting the bracket (10) to be mounted to a stanchion (42) of one configuration. Apertures (38) in the flanges (35) permit the bracket (10) to be mounted to stanchions (39, 41) of other configurations. Lug members (22) on the side walls (18) are received in apertures (55) in flanges (48) depending from the bottom wall (47) of the mailbox (11) to attach the mailbox (11) to the bracket (10). Holes (56) formed in the flanges (48) and holes (57) formed in additional flanges (52) depending from the bottom wall (47) of the mailbox (11) allow the mailbox (11) to be directly affixed to various stanchion configurations.

A mailbox assembly is disclosed comprising a mailbox body having a roof, parallel sidewalls (6), and a front door (4). The assembly further includes a flag housing assembly (8) for outgoing mail indication, attachable to one side of the mailbox body, and a second housing assembly (10) attachable to one side of the mailbox body for incoming mail indication. The flag assembly (10) is pivotally attachable to either of the mailbox body sidewalls, at the election and preference of the user, and comprises actuation means (40) responsive to pivotal opening of the mailbox door, and a pivot post member (42) for insertion through co-aligned apertures in the mailbox body and door, whereby pivotally attaching the flag housing assembly to one of the mailbox sides and pivotally attaching the door to the mailbox body. The flag assembly further includes spring means (52) for pressuring the flag housing body against the mailbox side, and registrable flag detent and rib means (82, 86) for locking the flag arm (36) into first and second positions.
