Inventive considerations have shown that the use of shorter liquid ratios can be realized in the course of wet-treating textile ropes in jet dyeing machines if the textile goods are driven by means of a non-inert gas stream and the dyestuff or product formulations necessary for carrying out the type of treatment desired are brought into contact with the goods by atomization into the circulated gaseous driving agent.

Process for treating textile material in jet dyeing machines

A process for the treatment of textiles in rope form with gaseous and/or liquid treating agents in a jet dyeing unit, wherein the charging of the jet apparatus with the material rope as well as the material transport in the unit is effected by directing a gas current, especially steam, issuing from nozzles under excess pressure onto the fibrous material. To start the process, the gas current and the fluid current may be used alternately or may be combined. The process is particularly suitable for the isothermal dyeing of textiles in rope form with heat-fixable dyestuffs in accordance with the batchwise exhaustion method.

Process for the treatment of textiles in jet dyeing apparatuses

Process for the exhaust dyeing of wound bodies of synthetic or natural fiber materials with appropriate dyestuffs, by heating the wound-up textile articles to temperatures ranging at or above 100.degree. C while replacing the air in the dyeing vessel by saturated or superheated steam, and by preparing the dye bath in the batch vessel which is connected by pipes with the dyeing vessel, and heating up the dyebath to temperatures also ranging at or above 100.degree. C. A special control of the temperature and of the steam pressure in both closed systems is provided to secure the formation of a relative excess pressure of 2.94 to 9.8 bars in the batch vessel or such an excess pressure is produced from the outside. The hot dyebath is pressed by the differential pressure over a period of 3 to 60 seconds at the same time from inside and outside into the dry or wet wound bodies.

Process for the dyeing of synthetic or natural fibers

Process for the fixation of dyestuffs on textile materials of synthetic, regenerated or native fibers or of mixtures thereof, in which the textile material treated with a dyestuff preparation is introduced into a chamber and it is dwelled there, batched or cuttled up under pressure-steam.
