A vehicle seat includes a seat component and a back rest which, in the position of use of the back rest, can be rotated relative to the seat component, out of the position of use and into an easy entry position, for comfort purposes and for simplified access to the rear seats. The back rest has a locking mechanism which locks the back rest in the desired position of use and which is provided with a device which interacts with the locking mechanism and locks the back rest automatically in the original desired position of use as it leaves the easy entry position.

A vehicle seat, in particular motor vehicle seat comprises an inclination adjustment fitting, a backrest part, and a seat part. The inclination adjustment fitting has a toothed first element and a toothed second element, and the vehicle seat has a first main structural element and a second main structural element. Disclosed is an adjustment fitting for a motor vehicle component, especially a vehicle seat. Said adjustment fitting comprises a first part and a second part which is rotatable relative to the first part about a rotational shaft by means of a gear unit. The gear unit encompasses a first gear on the first part of the fitting and a second gear on the second part of the fitting, the second gear being disposed eccentric to the first gear. Two wedge segments are provided for securing the eccentric arrangement of the first gear relative to the second gear. The inventive adjustment fitting is characterized in that the wedge segments have an inner radius and an outer radius while the adjustment fitting further comprises a decelerating element which is fitted with an extension that starts at the rotational shaft, runs in an axial direction, and corresponds approximately to the outer radius of the wedge segments.

Adjustment fitting for a motor vehicle component, and method for securing the locking effect of an adjustment fitting

An adjustment device for a vehicle component, in particular for the back rest of a vehicle seat, is proposed having a first fitting and a second fitting, wherein the relative position of the two fittings to one another can be changed by means of eccentric means, wherein a rotation of the eccentric means by means of a drive element is provided, wherein the adjustment device has a central element which is connected in a rotationally fixed fashion to the first fitting, wherein the drive element is provided mounted in an overlapping region by means of the central element. Adjuster

A vehicle seat, in particular motor vehicle seat, comprises a backrest part and a seat part. The seat part has a fitting for adjusting the inclination of the backrest part in relation to the seat part. The fitting has a first fitting part which is firmly connected to the backrest part, and a second fitting part which is firmly connected to the seat part. The fitting parts are connected to one another and configured to be adjusted smoothly angularly by an adjusting mechanism. The first fitting part is able to be locked in relation to the adjusting mechanism by a latching apparatus, and is able to be pivoted about a rotational axis in relation to the adjusting mechanism after the latching apparatus is released. The adjusting mechanism comprises a toothed member, such as an internally toothed mechanism latching plate and/or an internally toothed mechanism plate. The first fitting part is mounted in a plane extending generally perpendicular to the rotational axis of the toothed member.
