Wear sensor and the corresponding wear element, assembly and use. The sensor is intended for a wear element in a bucket of an earth moving machine. The sensor includes a sensing electric circuit and at least one elongated arm () extending in a direction of detection defining a longitudinal axis. The arm () has a base () and an end. The end wears away together with the wear material of the wear element. The arm () includes a plurality of electrical connections () forming part of the sensing electric circuit and extending different lengths with respect to one another, measured according to the longitudinal axis along the arm ().
