A method of treating an inflammatory disease or disorder is disclosed. The method comprises administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs: 11-15. The inflammatory disease is not cancer, osteoporosis, rheumatic arthritis, osteoarthritis or angiogenesis-related eye disease.

Treatment of inflammation

Isolated peptides are disclosed. The peptide comprises an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs: 1-5 and 11-15, with the proviso that the amino acid sequence does not consist of SEQ ID NO: 11, SEQ ID NO: 15 or SEQ ID NO: 1, wherein the peptide is no longer than 50 amino acids. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising same and uses thereof for treatment of diseases associated with serotonin transport and/or &#x3b1;V&#x3b2;3 activity are also disclosed.
