A printed circuit board provided with an attachment which surrounds surface contacts of the printed circuit board that are to be contacted by a printed circuit board connector that covers the portion of the printed circuit board and edges of the printed circuit board around the surface contacts and includes recesses corresponding to the surface contacts assuring proper connection with contacts of a printed circuit board connector.

Printed circuit board

A printed circuit board and a printed circuit board zero force connector are configured such that the printed circuit board zero force connector is properly actuated automatically by an attachment provided on the printed circuit board when the printed circuit board is plugged into and removed from the printed circuit board zero force connector.

Printed circuit board and connector assembly

A card reading device is characterized thereby that it is constructed for reading laterally offset cards lying one above the other. This enables a simple and compact structure to be achieved for the card reading device.

Card reading device having multiple stacked and offset card receiving positions

A card reader for receiving or passing on information furnished by or for a card. The card reader is embodied such that it can be mounted on a printed circuit board by connecting devices for mechanically and electrically connecting the card reader to the printed circuit board. The card reader described is distinguished in that the connecting portion of the card reader intended for making a mechanical connection between the card reader and the printed circuit board are provided, locally separated from the contact elements of the card reader to be brought into electrical contact with the printed circuit board.

Card reader

A card reading device has a contact carrier part and a card carrier part. The card carrier part is formed with a card receiving portion into which the card to be read is inserted. The card carrier part, together with the card, is inserted at least partially into or onto the contact carrier part. The card carrier part has an elastically deformable tongue element which projects at least partially into and over the card receiving portion.

Electronic card carrier and reading device

The card reading device has contact elements for establishing contact with contact regions on a card, in particular a card which contains a chip. The card reading device is distinguished by a contact element position-changing element which, during the introduction of the card to be read into its reading position and/or during the removal of the card from its reading position, causes the contact elements to move out of their contact position suitable for establishing contact with the card into their non-contact position. The latter position is remote from the contact position and is unsuitable for establishing contact with the card.

Card reading device

A card carrier part is inserted into a contact carrier part of a card reader together with a card to be read therein. The card carrier part is embodied such that it can be slipped onto an edge portion of the card, thereby clamping the edge in place. As a result, both the size of the card carrier part and the size of a card reader that uses such a card carrier part can be reduced to a minimum.

Removable card carrier assembly

An electric connector having at least one substantially striplike contact element includes a housing having a wall, a portion of the contact element extending from within the housing through the housing wall to the outside of the housing, and being formed thereat as a first flat contact extending along an outer side of the housing wall, the housing wall having, outside the housing, a recess formed therein and exposing at least parts of the contact element portion extending through the housing wall, the exposed contact element portion being formed at least partly as a second flat contact, and the recess being formed as a plug-in opening for a contact spring capable of contacting the second flat contact, the recess extending around the at least one contact element and having a portion thereof free of any contact element and formed so as to receive one of a pin and a strip of a counterconnector to be connected to the electric connector.

Electric connector

The card reading device has a contact carrier part and a card carrier part. The card carrier part receives a card to be read in a card receiving portion and the card carrier part can be inserted together with the card at least partially into or onto the contact carrier part. The card carrier part of the novel card reading device has a partial ejection mechanism with at least one lever. The lever is formed and disposed such that a swivel of the lever translates into an interaction between the lever and a supporting point lying outside the card carrier part. As a consequence of the interaction, the card receiving portion is at least partially drawn out or ejected from the contact carrier part.

Card reading device including a contact and a card carrier parts

A card reading device for receiving and/or passing on information provided by or for a card. The card reading device has a compartment that makes it possible for the card to be pushed into the card reading device. The card reading device described is distinguished by a resiliently held locking element which, in an initial position, protrudes into the compartment and is configured in such a way that the card can make contact with a first region or a second region of the locking element when it is pushed into the compartment. In particular, the entry of the card is dependent on its orientation when it is pushed into the card reading device. When the card runs onto the first region, the locking element can be pushed away by the card, allowing the entry of the card into the compartment. When the card runs onto the second region of the locking element, the latter keeps the compartment blocked and thereby prevents the continued entry of the card into the compartment.

A shielded transfer system is disposed on a back panel printed wiring board and has a strip body with partitions subdividing the strip body into individual rectangular chambers of equal size for receiving cable plugs having a shielding housing with a rectangular cross section. A shielding device for the cable plugs includes additional function elements disposed in the strip body for performing assigned functions, in particular for guiding, contacting, encoding and locking the cable plugs. The additional function elements are constructed and disposed for permitting the rectangular cable plugs with a plug cross section of a certain unit size and smaller rectangular cable plugs with a plug cross section being one-half and one-fourth of the plug cross section of the unit size, to be selectively inserted into the chambers of the strip body, while preserving and utilizing all of the functions of the additional function elements.

Shielding device for rectangular cable plugs

A cable plug is provided for connecting a multiplicity of cable leads to a modular plug, which is formed of a plurality of plate-like contact carriers being pre-fitted with IDC contacts. The contact carriers are fitted in succession onto the cable leads and are stacked on one another to form a contact block. The contact block can be inserted in a contact block casing formed of two insulating parts and locked in a particularly conducting plug housing being formed, for example, of two half-shells. The invention is suitable for connecting multi-lead cables to cable plugs, especially to shielded cable plugs.
