The invention relates to a pressure regulator for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, in which a pressure difference prevailing between a pressure inlet and a pressure outlet can be kept essentially constant by opening and closing at least one valve, which valve includes a valve closing member forced into the closing position against a valve seat by the action of a valve closing spring. The valve spring is formed by means of at least one pivotably supported valve leaf spring, and an arm, toward the valve seat in terms of the pivotable bearing means, of the valve leaf spring is braced on the valve closing member, and an arm of the valve leaf spring located on the side opposite the valve seat is braced on a support body, in such a way that a torque equilibrium prevails at the valve leaf spring.

Pressure regulator

In a feed unit for delivering fuel from a supply tank ( ) with a filter cup ( ) having a central chamber ( ) and an annular chamber ( ) enclosing the latter, with a filter cover ( ) which closes the annular chamber ( ) and which contains an inlet duct ( ) to the annular chamber ( ) and an outlet duct ( ) from the annular chamber ( ), and with a feed pump ( ) which is inserted in the central chamber ( ) and which projects with a suction connection piece ( ) through an opening ( ) into a suction space ( ), assembly is simplified and manufacturing costs are reduced in that the clearance diameter of the central chamber ( ) is dimensioned so as to be greater than the outer diameter of the pump housing ( ), and an axially projecting pressure connection piece ( ) is formed at the other end side of the housing ( ) remote of the suction connection piece ( ) and a mounting cap ( ) which engages over the pressure connection piece ( ) is formed at the filter cover ( ). A flexible sleeve ( ) is inserted between the pressure connection piece ( ) and the mounting cap ( ) on the one hand and the suction connection piece ( ) and opening ( ) in the cup base ( ) on the other hand and serves for the sealing, support and noise decoupling of the feed pump ( ) in the filter cup ( ).

Supply unit

A feeding aggregate for fuel has a feed pump which is formed as a side channel pump and has a housing, a pump chamber formed in the housing, and an impeller arranged in the pump chamber, an electric motor provided for driving of the impeller and having a stator and a rotor, with the rotor formed of one piece with the impeller, the feed pump having at least one pump stage, a rim of vanes having vane chambers therebetween and provided on at least one end side of the impeller, a partial ring-shaped side passage formed in the housing opposite to the rim of vanes and having an inlet and an outlet spaced from one another in a peripheral direction of the impeller and open into the side passage, the at least one pump stage of the feed pump having the rim of vanes only on one end side of the impeller and having the side passage in the housing opposite to the rim of vanes, the inlet and the outlet of the side passage being arranged at a same end side of the impeller, and the impeller at an end side which is opposite to the vanes being provided with recesses which are at least approximately mirror-symmetrical to the vane chambers and are connected through openings in the impeller with the vane chambers.

Feeding aggregate for fuel

A feeding device for feeding fuel, comprising a feed pump, an electric motor driving the feed pump, filtering means, a housing composed of synthetic plastic and formed as a filter casing for receiving the electric motor, the feed pump and the filtering means, the filter casing having concentric housing walls, and a metal jacket arranged at the concentric housing walls at least at one side.

The suction line (,) connected to the suction jet pump (,) opens into the storage tank (,) remote of the receptacle (,).

Fuel delivery device

The apparatus for supplying fuel includes a fuel tank and a fuel feed unit in the fuel tank. The fuel feed unit has a main housing, a suction cover arranged in a bottom part of the main housing, a fuel pump and a degassing valve arranged in the suction cover for degassing the fuel pump. The fuel pump itself includes an impeller housing with a circular passage for fuel flow and an electric-motor-driven impeller. The impeller housing is arranged in the main housing and next to the suction cover and it is provided with a degassing passage connecting the circular passage with the degassing valve. To improve starting behavior the fuel feed unit has a degassing valve in the suction cover, which is connected with the circular passage of the impeller housing by a degassing passage. The degassing valve opens to the fuel tank when pressure in the degassing passage exceeds a predetermined value for degassing the fuel pump. The degassing valve can be a spring-loaded ball valve in which the compression spring bearing on the ball provides a predetermined counter-force so that the degassing valve is kept open during idle and start of impeller rotation until degassing is complete.

Apparatus for supplying a fuel by means of a fuel supply unit arranged in a housing
