According to an example, a method for a printing system comprises reading configuration data of a printing environment for the printing system, determining based on the configuration data if a concentration of particles emitted during a printing operation of the printing system will exceed a threshold over a time period, and executing at least one remedial action on the printing operation if the concentration of particles will exceed the threshold.

Determining particle concentration

A method for controlling a printer includes receiving a set of first variables for the printer, determining, using a machine-learning program, one or more second variables based on the set of first variables, and controlling a printer to perform a print job based on the set of first variables and the one or more second variables. The first and second variables may correspond to different types of printer settings. The machine-learning program may determine the second variables using a classifier model that may prevent partial curing or drying, print media deformation and/or other defects.

Adjust print settings using machine learning

The disclosure relates to a rendering apparatus, method and non-transitory machine-readable storage medium for determining a speed of a carriage during rendering of an image. A plurality of swaths of rendering fluid are deposited on a print target using a set of printheads moving across the print target. A temperature of a curing module is measured at a respective time of depositing each respective swath. An arrival time for each deposited swath to respectively arrive at the curing module is predicted. The speed of the carriage during depositing the plurality of swaths is determined based on the measured temperature of the curing module and predicted arrival time for each respective swath.

A rendering apparatus, in an example, comprises a rendering zone disposed between a rendering material deposition head and a substrate, a processing module to process the rendering material, a heat exchanger to transfer heat from the processing module to air to be re-distributed to the rendering zone, a distribution system for re-distributing heated air to the rendering zone, a valve located between the heat exchanger and the rendering zone, a temperature sensor located in the rendering zone to detect a temperature of the heated air that is re-distributed to the rendering zone, and a control module to adjust a temperature of the rendering zone by controlling an aperture of the valve using a feedback signal received from the temperature sensor.

Circuits for controlling an impeller in a fluid flow distribution system to achieve a target fluid flow are disclosed. The circuit to output a signal representative of a speed value (N) of the impeller derived from a stored power consumption value (W) and speed value (N) pairs to achieve the target fluid flow. The circuit to receive a power signal representative of an input power consumption value (W) of the impeller at the speed value (N) to input fluid to the fluid flow distribution system and to compare the value (W) represented by a power signal for the speed value (N) with the stored value (W) and impeller speed value (N) pairs to determine a least difference impeller speed value (N) of the stored pair comprising a least difference between the value (W) and the value (W). The circuit to output a speed signal representative of value (N).
