Devices, systems, and methods for trapping and manipulating portions of tissue are described. In an embodiment, the devices include an array of traps, wherein traps of the array of traps are shaped to trap a tissue sample; and a well is in registry and fluidic communication with a trap of the array of traps.

Methods and microfluidic apparatus are disclosed for drug prediction. A microfluidic apparatus has (a) a plate, (b) a plurality of wells defined in the plate, (c) a plurality of closed microchannels defined in the plate, and (d) a sample platform defining a plurality of open microchannels, where the plurality of closed microchannels are each in communication with one of the plurality of wells and one of the plurality of open microchannels of the sample platform.

Microfluidic assay apparatus and methods of use

A device for conducting parallel analysis or manipulation of multiple cells or biomolecules is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device comprises a silicon chip with a microwell, and at least one membrane suspended at the bottom opening of the microwell. The suspended portion of the membrane defines a nanohole that provides access to the material on the other side of the membrane.
