A method for detecting an imminent pole slip of a synchronous generator electrically connected to a power supply network, whereby a signal characteristic of a power fault is detected and an imminent pole slip is determined via a predefinable value when a load angle of the synchronous generator increases, whereby the following steps are performed. Determination of a first load angle during operation without a power fault, determination of a generator frequency as a function of time when a power fault occurs, and precalculation of a second value of a load angle resulting from the power fault by adding the first value of the load angle to a load angle difference occurring during the power fault, whereby this load angle difference is caused by a deviation of a generator frequency relative to a power frequency.

Method for detection of upcoming pole slip

The invention relates to a method for operating a stationary power plant, wherein a fuel/air mixture is burned in an internal combustion engine and wherein the internal combustion engine drives an alternating current generator, which is connected to an energy supply network and provides energy to the energy supply network, wherein if the actual rotational speed of the alternating current generator or of the internal combustion engine exceeds a predefinable maximum value due to a failure of the energy supply network, the combustion in the internal combustion engine is stopped at least partially, while the connection to the energy supply network is maintained.

Method of regulating an internal combustion engine in order to reach presettable nitrogen oxide emission values of the internal combustion engine, wherein the internal combustion engine is supplied at least some of the time with a first fuel and at least some of the time with a second fuel, the quantity of the first fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine per unit of time being controlled according to a preset control actual value or kept constant and the quantity of the second fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine per unit of time to reach a presettable nitrogen oxide emission value being regulated according to at least one recorded engine parameter.

Method of regulating an internal combustion engine

Internal combustion engine

Apparatus for regulating an engine parameter, in particular the output power or the speed of rotation of an internal combustion engine, wherein there are provided two or more adjustable devices by way of which the engine parameter to be regulated can be influenced. There are provided two or more separate regulators, each of which regulates a respective one of the adjustable devices in dependence on the detected actual value of the engine parameter and a predeterminable reference value. There is also provided a change-over switching device by way of which selectively one of the regulators can be activated for regulating the adjustable device associated therewith.
