The invention of a method and an apparatus for reception of long transmission range Bluetooth signals impaired by multipath are disclosed. The new reception method and apparatus proposed allows to increase the transmission range for data transmission in Bluetooth. The invention proposes the use of a new FDE adapted to SC transmission without a GI or CP. The proposed FDE very successfully mitigates ISI while being very implementation-friendly.

The present invention discloses an antenna diversity switch, used for receiving and transmitting RF signals for dual-mode co-existence wireless communication system. The antenna diversity switch comprises a first transmitting port; a second transmitting port; a receiving port; a first control unit, electrically connected between the first transmitting port and a first antenna; a second control unit, electrically connected between the first transmitting port and a second antenna; a third control unit, electrically connected between the second transmitting port and the first antenna; a forth control unit, electrically connected between the second transmitting port and the second antenna; a fifth control unit, electrically connected between the receiving port and the first antenna; a sixth control unit, electrically connected between the receiving port and the second antenna. The antenna diversity switch according to the present invention meets the requirement of IEEE 802.11b/g WLAN and Bluetooth co-existence operation with reduction of three or four antennas in the prior art to two antennas. Moreover, it provides antenna diversity for both WLAN and Bluetooth systems, where in the prior-art WLAN and Bluetooth co-existence system only WLAN system has the antenna diversity.

A charge control system for lithium battery using pulse width modulation is provided, and it detects the existing voltage of the charging lithium battery by a voltage detector and passes this voltage value to a microprocessor preset in the hand-held apparatus. Thus, the microprocessor can decide the applicable charge stage and confirm the status of the charging battery depending on the different Voltage values in real time. Next, the microprocessor controls a control unit by a pulse width modulation signal to modulate the power-source, which comes from an adaptor, as a constant current or a constant voltage to charge the battery. Accordingly, the charge process is completed by repeating the voltage detection and the duty cycle modulation of the control unit.

An automatic gain control and its method are disclosed. An average power computing unit computes the power of a received signal. A power range monitoring unit monitors its change. If the signal power fluctuates around a threshold, the system enters an acquisition mode and the gain is tuned back to a default value. If the signal power is above an upper limit of a tracking range, a gain decreasing unit reduces the gain. If the signal power goes below a lower limit of the tracking range, a gain increasing unit raises the gain. Once the power falls in the tracking range, the system enters a tracking mode to make immediate responses toward the gain of the received signal.

This specification discloses a packet type arbitrator in a wireless local area network (WLAN) and its arbitrating method. The arbitrator contains at least two packet type detectors and a packet type decider. The packet type detector is installed with a false alarm checking module and a timer according to the strength of the packet for delaying the decision from the packet type decider. Through the checking mechanism of the false alarm checking module and the timer, erroneous decision can be avoided when determining the packet type.

The present invention discloses a bandpass amplifier having gain and bandpass performance. The bandpass amplifier includes an input match unit for matching the gain of the amplifier and having a first filter response; a first bias unit electrically connected to the input match unit for driving the first terminal of the amplifier and having a first high pass filter response; a gain stage electrically connected to the first bias unit for providing the flat gain of the amplifier; a second bias unit electrically connected to the gain stage for driving the second terminal of the amplifier and having a second high pass filter response; and an output match unit electrically connected to the second bias unit for matching the gain of the amplifier and having a second filter response.

The present invention discloses a gain amplifier, capable of concurrently operating at three different frequency bands. The gain amplifier comprises an amplification stage for amplifying a signal applied to an input of the amplifier and a triple-band resonance load connected between a DC bias voltage and a DC bias input of the amplification stage. The triple-band resonance load uses a set of reactive elements to provide match in a first frequency band, a second frequency band and in a third frequency band, such as at 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz and 9.0 GHz. According to the gain amplifier of the present invention, it can effectively provide triple-band signal amplification and in-band interference suppression for various multi-standard coexist communication systems.

A dual-band bandpass filter with stepped-impedance resonators uses only one circuit to generate dual-band effect. It adopts the principle of stepped-impedance resonator, which contains a connecting section and two coupling sections. The impedance and electrical length of the connecting section and coupling sections conforms to a selected condition to generate two passbands at desired frequencies. A multi-layer broadside-coupled parallel lines structure may be applied to increase coupling-amount between the parallel lines so that the dual-band bandpass filters have broader bandwidth and less loss.

The invention provides a device and method for wireless material handling systems. The invention further provides an instrumented glove device worn by an operator. A sensory system within the glove device measures the contact force the operator is exerting on either an object to be moved or the material handling system and generates a set of contact signals representing the contact force. The contact signals are transmitted, via a transmitter circuitry, to a controller in another location. The controller receives and processes the signals and generates a set of command signals. The command signals control the speed and mechanical assistance required of an actuator, as a function of the operator contact force, to move the material handling system.
