The invention relates to an ultrasonic booster () for a sonotrode () for processing workpieces (W) with ultrasonic vibrations, having a booster body (). Longitudinal vibrations (SL) are introduced into the booster body () on a sound introduction side () having a first end side (). A conversion structure (), by means of which transverse vibrations (ST) having a vibration component in a plane (E) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (L) are generated from the longitudinal vibrations (SL), is located between the sound introduction side () and a coupling side () opposite the sound introduction side.

Ultrasonic booster and device for processing workpieces

A device for ultrasonically welding metal parts includes a sonotrode whose head can be excited by a vibration generator to produce vibrations. The sonotrode is connected to the vibrator with a screw connection provided on one side of the sonotrode. The sonotrode head may have at least one welding surface relative to the torsion axis on the circumference side. An anvil having a counter/compacting surface may be arranged opposite the welding surface of the sonotrode in a stationary position. The welding surface and the compacting surface may delimit a compaction space to receive parts to be welded. The entire sonotrode may be excited to produce torsional oscillation with a negligibly small longitudinal vibration component.

The invention relates to a device () for welding metal parts by means of ultrasound, in particular for welding strands, comprising a sonotrode () having a sonotrode head (), which can be excited by an oscillation generator () to perform torsional oscillations with respect to a torsion axis (B). The sonotrode head () comprises at least one welding surface () relative to the torsion axis (B) on the circumference side. Furthermore, an anvil () having a counter/compacting surface () is provided, which can be arranged opposite the welding surface () of the sonotrode () in a stationary position relative thereto. In the case of an opposite arrangement, the welding surface () and the compacting surface () delimit a compaction space () in a direction perpendicular to the torsion axis (B), said space being provided to receive the parts to be welded. The sonotrode () is designed, and coupled to the oscillation generator (), in such a manner that the entire sonotrode () can be excited to perform torsional oscillation with a negligibly small longitudinal oscillation component.

A Sonotrode for generating an ultrasonic field in industrial production processes such as chemical, food, petroleum, pharmaceutical, beverage or mining-related processes for reducing and eliminating foaming of liquid products has a compact one-piece form, wherein the sonotrode is provided with a main body part having a connector for connection with a high frequency generator and having a front face from which the ultrasonic field is directed to the desired spot or area of the product to be de-foamed, wherein the main body part has the shape of a compact block element and in that the front face is concave in shape in relation to a product surface such that the ultrasonic field is focused and directed to a specific area of a product foam to be treated in a concentrated form compared to a non-focused ultrasound.

Sonotrode and device for reducing and eliminating foaming of liquid products

An ultrasonic welding device for welding two components has a rod-shaped first sonotrode for the generation of longitudinal waves and is coupled on its first end to a first converter and on its second end opposite the first end to a second converter. A first welding surface is provided in the middle of the first sonotrode. To improve durability and welding performance, a second sonotrode which is coupled to at least one third converter and is configured as a torsion sonotrode, has a second welding surface arranged opposite the first welding surface. The first and second sonotrodes can be moved relatively to each other such that a clamping force between the first and the second welding surface can be applied to the components to be connected.
