The present invention relates to light emitting module, comprising: a mixing chamber () arranged to mix light, the mixing chamber () comprising a base () having a highly reflective inner surface, a circumferential side wall () having a highly reflective inner surface, and a semi-reflective light exit window (); and at least one light emitting diode () arranged on the inner surface of the circumferential side wall () such that light emitted from the at least one light emitting diode () is emitted into the mixing chamber () for mixing of the emitted light within the mixing chamber (), wherein the semi-reflective light exit window () is arranged to couple out light emitted from the at least one light emitting diode () and mixed within the mixing chamber (), wherein the aspect ratio of a width (W) and a height (H) of the mixing chamber () is in the range of 1 to 8, wherein the reflectivity of the semi-reflective light exit window () is in the range from 30% to 80% for light emitted from the light emitting diode ().

Light emitting module

A light emitting device () comprising at least one light source () adapted for, in operation, emitting first light () with a first spectral distribution, a light guide () made of a luminescent material and comprising a light input surface () and a light exit surface () extending in an angle different from zero to one another, the light guide further comprising a first further surface () extending parallel to and arranged opposite to the light exit surface, wherein the light guide is adapted for receiving the first light () with the first spectral distribution at the light input surface, converting at least a part of the first light with the first spectral distribution to second light () with a second spectral distribution, guiding the second light with the second spectral distribution to the light exit surface and coupling the second light with the second spectral distribution out of the light exit surface. The light emitting device further comprises a phosphor element () arranged adjacent to the first further surface and a reflective element () arranged adjacent the phosphor element opposite to the first further surface (). The phosphor element is adapted for converting light incident from the light guide to third light () with a third spectral distribution and the light guide () is furthermore adapted for receiving the third light () with the third spectral distribution at the first further surface (), guiding the third light () with the third spectral distribution to the light exit surface () and coupling the third light with the third spectral distribution out of the light exit surface.

Light emitting device

There is provided an optical element for use with a LED wherein a base face is arranged to receive incoming light from the LED. The optical element comprises a top face having a pattern of optical structures which refract light away from an optical axis (A) of the optical element. Further the optical element comprises a plurality of side faces extending between the top face and the base face and arranged to refract light from the light towards the optical axis (A). the top face extends such that it covers a first angular range relative to the optical axis (A). The first angular range is an angular range outside which light emitted by the LED would be subject to total internal reflection at an imaginary extension of the top face.

Optical element for uniform lighting

The present invention relates to an optical device () for forming a light beam, which optical device comprises a lens () having a top section () configured to receive light emitted by a light source (), a bottom section () configured to allow the received light to exit the lens, and a plurality of side sections () stretching from the top section to the bottom section. The plurality of side sections enclose the lens and are adapted to reflect and refract incident rays of the received light. A cross-section () of the lens, in a plane perpendicular to a center axis () stretching from the top section to the bottom section, has the shape of a polygon, which polygon is oriented in a length-wise direction () and in a transversal direction () being perpendicular to each other. Furthermore, the lens is adapted such that the received light exits the lens as a light beam formed to an elongated shape () at a predetermined distance () from the optical device. With the presented optical device, a compact lens enabling for a desired elongated illumination distribution is provided.

Optical device for forming a light beam

A light-emitting arrangement () comprising a reflective member () having a reflective surface () on which at least one LED is arranged is disclosed. A wavelength converting member () comprising a first wavelength converting material, adapted to convert light of a first wavelength into light of a second wavelength, is arranged on the reflective member. The converting member has a top face () oriented parallel to the reflective surface, and has a first side face () and a second side face () that are each arranged between the top face and the reflective member on a respective side of the LED(s). The top face is arranged at a vertical distance (V) from a light-emitting surface () of the LED(s). By adapting the properties, dimensions and/or orientation of the faces of the wavelength converting member according to the invention, a desirable light distribution from the light-emitting arrangement is achieved.
