Apparatus for pressing and drying a pre-defined amount of waste includes a metal main frame positioned to provide rigid support, and a body mechanically linked to the main frame through a plurality of linkage plates. The apparatus also includes an inlet vertically mounted on the body and a twin screw assembly to press and dehydrate the pre-defined amount of waste. A plurality of mesh screens is rigidly linked to the main frame along the longitudinal axis of the apparatus to remove compressed liquid. The body is also designed to support rotation of the twin screw assembly, and the inlet includes an ingress cross-sectional opening to receive the pre-defined amount of waste.

The present disclosure provides an apparatus for shredding a pre-defined amount of waste. The apparatus includes a main frame positioned to provide support to the apparatus. Further, the apparatus includes a rotating core to shred, masticate and grind the pre-defined amount of waste. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a body mechanically linked to the main frame through a linkage plate. Moreover, the apparatus includes a hopper mounted vertically on the body. Further, the apparatus includes a first set of mash double row ball bearings symmetrically positioned near the first distal end of the main shaft. In addition, the apparatus includes a second set of mash double row ball bearings symmetrically positioned near the second distal end of the main shaft.

Apparatus for shredding of waste

The present disclosure provides an apparatus for thermal treatment of a pre-defined amount of organic waste. The apparatus includes a plurality of chambers to receive the pre-defined amount of organic waste. Further, the apparatus includes a double wall to encapsulate each of the plurality of chambers. Furthermore, the apparatus includes an auger accommodated within the cylindrical hollow body of each of the plurality of chambers. Moreover, each of the plurality of chambers has a cylindrical hollow body. The cylindrical body has a first diameter of a first section and a second diameter of a second section. In addition, each of the plurality of chambers is connected in succession for a continuous movement of the pre-defined amount of organic waste along a longitudinal axis. Further, the plurality of chambers includes a feed material inlet and a processed material outlet attached at a second end of the plurality of chambers.

Apparatus for thermal treatment of organic waste

A waste management system ad method for processing and reusing organic waste such as food, green compost, and the like. The waste is delivered from a shredder to three sequential augers, each having a rotating shaft and a helically-wound blade spiraling therealong. The blades of the augers compress the waste and extract liquid therefrom to be drained into a tank for subsequent use as a fuel or a fertilizer. The remaining organic waste is then heated and dried in a dual drum dryer. From the dryer, the waste is delivered to a pelletizer having an apertured shaping plate extending thereacross through which the waste is pushed and shaped into solid pellets. The hot and dry pellets are cooled within a dual drum cooler. From the cooler, the organic waste pellets are collected, packaged and distributed.

Waste management system and method

The present invention provides a compact device (that may be installed onto a mobile or stationary platform) for conversion of waste to sources of energy or fertilizer. The device includes multiple stages for efficient conversation and processing of waste into energy or fertilizer, including a first stage for reducing a size of received waste, a second stage for compressing the reduced sized waste into partially dehydrated waste, a third stage for grinding and further compression of received waste from second stage to pulverize the constituent parts into highly dense substantially dehydrated pellets or fertilizers, with a fourth stage for further drying of the received pellets or fertilizers and a final fifth stage for cooling the received pellets or fertilizers into highly dense pellets. The device of the present invention further includes a controller for controlling each operational stage.

Device for conversion of waste to sources of energy or fertilizer and a method thereof

The hull of a boat includes an opening which is closed by a door attached to the hull with a hinge and capable of limited pivoting motion on the hinge with a substantially horizontal axis of the pivot. In its upright first extreme position the door comprises a part of the hull. In a second folded down extreme position the door is substantially parallel with the water surface and can act as a loading platform and also as a stabilizer against wave action in rough waters.

A self-retracting step assembly is attached to a swimming platform provided on the rear of the hull of a boat. The self-retracting step assembly includes a ladder comprising a series of telescoping tubes which enable its extension and retraction. The step assembly including the ladder assembly are attached to the swimming platform in a position in which the ladder is capable of extending into the water wherein the watercraft or boat floats. The telescoping ladder assembly can be extended and placed from a normally horizontal position into an inclined position wherein at least the last step of the ladder reaches the water. The energy for extending the ladder is supplied by a human user. The step assembly includes a motor or mechanical means for storing the energy used for extending the ladder. The ladder assembly is locked into the extended and inclined position by an improved mechanism that is located within the assembly attached to the swimming platform. Retraction of the ladder assembly is triggered by a change in the angle of the ladder relative to the water, said change being triggered by force of the water relative to the ladder when the watercraft or boat moves. The energy utilized for the retraction is preferably the stored energy of the extension, or it can be supplied by a motor.

Self-retracting lockable step-assembly for boats

A boat has one or more jet pumps with appropriate water intakes and jet nozzles to drive the boat and one or more outboard motors to drive the boat. The boat may also have one or more hydroplane fins allowing the hull of the boat to be lifted out of the water for fast hydroplaning motion. The hydroplane fins are extendable and retractable and the one or more jet pumps and/or outboard motors are movably mounted and can be lowered so as to be disposed below the water level in efficient operating position even when the hydroplane fins are extended and the hull of the boat is lifted out of the water for fast hydroplaning motion.

A jet powered boat may be provided with a water monitor for fire fighting purposes. The conduit for the monitor is connected to an opening through the bottom of the hull to draw water vertically from beneath the hull. Two motors are provided in the boat. One motor is configured to propel water through the monitor conduit to the water monitor. The other motor is configured to propel water through a propulsion jet at the rear of the boat. In one embodiment, a second propulsion jet is provided at the rear of the boat, connected to the conduit for the water monitor. A baffle at the intersection of the second propulsion jet and the monitor conduit may be operated to selectively direct water to either the monitor or the propulsion jet. In this embodiment, the two motors may be placed symmetrically on either side of the longitudinal centerline of the boat. In another embodiment, in which one motor exclusively supplies water to the water monitor (without the second propulsion jet), the two motors may be placed fore and aft along the centerline of the boat. The hull of the jet powered boat is shaped with progressively shallower segments of the hull bottom spaced farther from the hull centerline to provide the directional stability of a &ldquo;V&rdquo; shape near the centerline, with a relatively flat shape near the sides of the hull for lateral stability. Debris screens may selectively be placed in the water intake openings through the hull to block pump-damaging debris.

An improved steering assembly for personal watercraft governs the positioning of a steering nozzle through a cable affixed to a steering shaft attached to handlebars gripped by the rider/operator of the watercraft. The steering shaft is mounted to the hull in a retainer member relative to which it is rotatable. The handlebars are shielded from the shocks and bumps occurring while the watercraft travels on rough water by a shock absorber that is mounted between the retainer member and the handlebars. The improved steering assembly significantly increases riding comfort and reduces operator fatigue.

A personal watercraft or boat has, in addition to an engine, drive means powered by the engine, and handlebars or steering column for steering the watercraft, a spring mounted floorboard on which the driver/occupant of the watercraft stands, or otherwise supports his or her full or partial weight. The spring mounted floorboard acts as a shock absorber and greatly increases comfort for the driver/occupant of the watercraft.

A retractable step or ladder is mounted to the rear of the personal watercraft. The retractable step has a pair of hollow channel members fixedly mounted underneath the riding platform. An elongated rigid member is mounted to each channel member by springs which permit substantially horizontal travel of each elongated member relative to the channel member until a stop is reached. The springs bias each elongated member into positions where the elongated members are not extended relative to the channel members, however the biasing force of the springs can be overcome by moderate effort of the user of the watercraft who wishes to climb aboard the watercraft from the water. Camming surfaces are formed substantially at the end of each channel member and at the end of each elongated member, and the camming surfaces mate and allow a downward pivoting motion of the elongated members about a hinge pin only when the elongated members are extended until the stop is reached. The cooperating camming surfaces prevent the biasing force of the springs from retracting the elongated members when the elongated members are positioned in the downward direction. A cross bar is disposed substantially at the remote ends of the elongated members, and has a water foil surface mounted thereon.
