This disclosure relates to a nasal cannula without nostril prongs. The nasal cannula may be used together with an oxygen delivery system, such as a portable oxygen concentrator, or another type of breathing device such as a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine. In an example, a nasal cannula includes a tube configured to connect to an oxygen supply, and a fitting configured to connect to the tube. The fitting includes a single discharge port having a first section configured to be situated inferior to a first nostril of a user and a second section configured to be situated inferior to a second nostril of the user. Further, the fitting does not include nostril prongs. Because the fitting does not include nostril prongs, patient comfort is dramatically increased relative to prior designs.

This disclosure relates to a device for disinfecting equipment, such as CPAP components, and a method of using the same. A device for disinfecting equipment according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a chamber, an ultraviolet (UV) light configured to emit UV light within the chamber, an ozone generator configured to generate ozone within the chamber. The device further includes a control unit configured to activate the UV light and the ozone generator during different periods of time.

Device for disinfecting equipment and method of using the same

This disclosure relates to a control system for a portable oxygen concentrator (POC). Specifically, this disclosure relates to a method and a system configured for use with an oxygen delivery system that includes nasal fitting which does not include nostril prongs. Because the nasal fitting does not include nostril prongs, user comfort is dramatically increased relative to prior designs. That said, because the fitting is free of nostril prongs, changes in pressure associated with the user's breathing register less than in oxygen delivery systems with traditional fittings (i.e., those that include nostril prongs). As such, the method and system of this disclosure is configured to associate relatively small changes in pressure with a breathing cycle of a user, thereby permitting effective and efficient POC operation.

Control system for portable oxygen concentrator

This disclosure relates to a handheld disinfection device. The device may be used to disinfect various items and/or surfaces in home, workplace, and travel settings, as examples. The disclosed device includes a UV light source and further includes one or more protective features configured to protect the UV light source. As examples, the disclosed device may include a grille and/or a retractable shade configured to protect the UV light source. The disclosed device may also incorporate one or more safety features configured to reduce accidental exposure of a user's eyes to the UV light source, one of which is a proximity feature preventing the UV light source from activating when the device is too far from an object of disinfection. These and other benefits will be appreciated from the following description.

Pediatric CPAP mask

This disclosure relates to a device and method for disinfecting CPAP components using a chemically reactive substrate. Specifically, the device and method are used to disinfect CPAP components (or, CPAP equipment), including the various parts of a CPAP system, such as hoses, masks, pillows, couplings, humidifiers, etc., that require frequent cleaning and disinfecting. An exemplary device includes, among other things, a chamber, an ultraviolet (UV) light configured to emit UV light within the chamber, and a substrate chemically reactive to the UV light. Exposing the substrate to UV light releases free radicals which are configured to destroy bacteria, mold, and fungus, as well as eliminate odor. The free radicals may be circulated within the chamber and consequently within the CPAP components that are placed within the chamber to provide a thorough disinfection.

Device and method for disinfecting CPAP components using chemically reactive substrate

This disclosure relates to a system and method for disinfecting a conduit, such as a conduit for use in a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) system. An example system according to this disclosure includes a sheath a probe magnetically suspended within the sheath. The probe includes an ultraviolet light source configured to emit ultraviolet light. Further, the probe is spaced-apart from an inner dimension of the sheath to allow a conduit to pass between the probe and the sheath.
