The acidic oxide support preferably contains silica alumina. Ceria is the preferred oxygen storage oxide.

Reduced NOx combustion promoter for use in FCC processes

The compositions are especially useful in the cracking of hydrocarbon feedstocks having above average nitrogen content.

A carbon monoxide oxidation catalyst especially useful as a co-catalyst in fluid catalytic cracking operations is made by impregnating particulate alumina with lanthana and a small amount of platinum. Cerium must be excluded.

Carbon monoxide oxidation catalyst

Cracking catalysts which yield higher octane gasoline than conventional cracking catalysts are made with large pore size zeolites such as zeolite Beta and zeolite ZSM-20 in the low sodium, H.sup.+ form. These zeolites are mixed with a matrix which contains at least a binder and formed into catalyst particles. These catalysts are especially suitable to be used in fluid catalytic cracking.

Cracking catalysts with octane enhancement

Catalytic cracking catalysts which comprise molecular sieves/zeolites dispersed in an inorganic oxide matrix that includes pollucite.
