A method for fulfillment of a kit includes a) generating a 3D virtual simulation of a kit using a computer animation tool in a kit fulfillment environment after receiving a kit request from a customer, the 3D virtual simulation formed using 3D virtual models of objects in the kit and reflecting a spatial layout of components packed in a receptacle, the 3D virtual simulation including an interactive animation that dynamically controls a visual rendering of the 3D virtual simulation in response to a user at a user device selectively manipulating the kit or an object; b) providing the customer with remote access to the 3D virtual simulation to use a remote user device to control the visual rendering for a review of the kit; and c) releasing the kit for production and fulfillment of the request after receiving an approval from the customer in conjunction with the review.

A system and method for a pre-print, three-dimensional virtual rendering of a print piece is disclosed. A plurality of modular/pipelined architectural layers are managed, operated, and organized by a controller. A product definition is provided to a job ticket adaptation layer where it is transformed into a physical model. The physical model is then transformed into a display model via the product model layer. The display model is transformed into a scene that can be displayed on a graphical user interface as a three dimensional virtual rendering by a rendering layer, where the binding elements may further include 3D binding models as well as 2D textures on 3D surfaces to simulate 3D models.

A printing system is provided having a plurality of networked printing devices, each printing device of the plurality of printing devices having a communication port for operatively communicating with another printing device of the plurality of printing devices via a network. System and method for diverting a printing job to a proximal networked device

A system and method are provided for forming a cluster of networked devices, such as multifunctional devices (MFDs), by scanning a configuration document. The configuration document is printed using a seed device and is scanned and read by one or more devices which are desired to join the cluster. The configuration document includes encoded data corresponding to the attributes and other characteristics of the seed device. Each device decodes the encoded data corresponding to the configuration document and determines if it is compatible with the seed device. If a device determines that it is compatible with the seed device and is thus able to share its resources with the seed device, and vice versa, the device can decide whether to join the cluster. The cluster self-administers itself; each device independently determines whether to leave the cluster, remain in the cluster, and rejoin the cluster.

System and method for forming a cluster of networked devices

In accordance with one aspect of the present exemplary embodiment, a system determines a solution based on received data. An intake component receives an incomplete data set from one or more sources. A recommendation system transforms the incomplete data set into a semantic data set via latent semantic indexing, classifies the semantic data set into an existing cluster and provides one or more solutions of the existing cluster as one or more recommendations.

At least one large itemset is determined by generating a plurality of itemsets formed of possible combinations of items selected from items corresponding to fields of the stored data instances. Itemsets having a combination of more than one item corresponding to a field having an associated field type indicating that the field is allowed to have only a single value are eliminated. The remaining itemsets are processed for generating associate rules.
