A wearable computing device for identifying gestures indicating patient prescription adherence is provided. The wearable computing device includes a processor, a memory, and a motion sensor. The processor is configured to receive a set of prescription plan data defining a prescription for a pharmaceutical associated with a user of the wearable computing device. The processor is also configured to receive a gesture pattern of movement of the wearable computing device. The gesture pattern indicates that a patient is adhering to the prescription. The processor is further configured to detect, with the motion sensor, a first motion pattern associated with the wearable computing device. The processor is also configured to analyze the first motion pattern to determine if the gesture pattern has been performed. Upon determining that the gesture pattern has been performed, the processor is configured to update a prescription usage record.

Systems and methods for using wearable computing devices to detect gestures of patient prescription adherence

A computerized method of location-based automatic wireless distribution includes receiving a claim from a selected pharmacy associated with a drug benefit plan. The claim indicates a first prescription drug to be administered by the selected pharmacy to a member. The method includes determining a current geographic location of the member, accessing previously adjudicated claim data of the member that is indicative of locations of a plurality of pharmacies where the member previously obtained prescription drug fills, and selecting a drug benefit plan action based on a determination of whether the current geographic location of the member satisfies a pharmacy location criterion associated with the location of at least one other pharmacy of the plurality of pharmacies that is not the selected pharmacy. The method further includes automatically transmitting a drug benefit notification to a mobile electronic device of the member via at least one wireless network.

Location-based automatic wireless data distribution

Methods and systems for promoting mobile awareness are described. In an embodiment, a location associated with a member of a drug benefit plan is accessed. A drug benefit plan action is determined based on the location associated with the member. The drug benefit plan action is an action at least partially at the direction of a pharmacy benefit manager that administers the drug benefit plan. A drug benefit notification is generated based on the drug benefit plan action. The pharmacy notification benefit is associated with the drug benefit plan. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

Methods and systems for promoting mobile awareness

Methods and systems for pharmacy location are described. In one embodiment, a plurality of pharmacy network associations of a member is determined. The pharmacy network associations are associated with a drug benefit plan of the member. A pharmacy within a pharmacy network association of the plurality of pharmacy network associations is capable of fulfilling a prescription for a prescription drug. A location associated with the member is accessed. A display is generated based on the determination of the pharmacy network associations and the location of the member. The display includes a first indicator and a second indicator. A first network pharmacy of a first pharmacy network association is associated with the first indicator on the display. A second network pharmacy of a second pharmacy network association is associated with the second indicator on the display. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.
