A connector assembly for joining a male member and a female connector member together to secure fluid communication in a fluid line system. The connector assembly includes a cover that is pivotally attached to the housing to conceal verification indicia when the male member is not attached to the housing. The cover configured to pivot relative to the housing to reveal the indicia once the male member is attached to the housing to allow a user or scanning device to view the indicia to verify a secure attachment of the connector assembly.

A pop-up external lens washing system has an extendable aiming fixture configured to aim a lens cleaning spray at an external lens which is exposed to the elements and apt to become soiled with debris. The extendable nozzle assembly is configured to be aimed toward the external lens by the extended aiming fixture during the washing operation only and has at least one laterally offset washing nozzle projecting from the aiming fixture to a spray washing fluid toward the external lens surface, spraying at a shallow, glancing spray aiming angle to impinge upon and wash the lens external surface.

A spa nozzle has a fluidic oscillator for oscillating a jet of water back and forth through an outlet aperture and a pair of diverging sidewalls extending downstream of the outlet aperture for issuing a sweeping jet of water into the spa. An air entrainment port is formed in each diverging sidewall downstream of the outlet aperture. The top and bottom walls in the oscillator interaction region diverge sufficiently so as to provide a relatively large outlet aperture area but not so large as to cause the jet to roll as it exits the outlet aperture, and wherein the ratio of the depth D of the power nozzle to the width W thereof is from about 2.9 to about 3.1 and the ratio of the depth D of the outlet throat to the width W thereof is from about 4.4 to about 4.6.

An improved automotive pump assembly includes a volute pumping chamber configured to operably contain a rotatable impeller which, when driven, draws fluid into a fluid inlet and pumps the fluid to and through a fluid outlet. The volute chamber has an exterior sidewall with a constant internal first radius over a first sidewall portion and transitions to a second sidewall portion of increasing radius. The chamber's second sidewall portion defines a first end at a sidewall transition point tangent to the constant radius sidewall segment to define a second end which is tangent to the volute chamber's fluid outlet with a second radius that is greater than the first radius.

The present invention is directed to a microflush urinal that includes a piece of chinaware in fluid communication with a pre-existing water supply and a waste removal conduit. A valve means in electrical communication with each of a sensor means and a fluid manifold effects delivery of incoming fluid to a water delivery means. The water delivery means is desirably a nozzle means selected from one of a plurality of fluidic nozzles that delivers pressurized water through an ingress defined in a rear wall of the chinaware. The nozzle desirably oscillates water for full coverage of the urinal's rear and side walls. A tarp portion that aesthetically obstructs the ingress assumes a generally scalloped shape to optimize the water distribution along the urinal's rear and side walls. At least one trough is integrated into one or more urinal sidewalls to guide water from the nozzle toward the waste removal conduit.

An enhanced pump assembly includes an impeller and volute casing designed to provide high operating pressures ('P') and flow rates ('Q') with low energy usage. The impeller has a central shaft carrying radially projecting curved primary vanes, and each primary vane also has a twist in the radial direction. Secondary impeller vanes define triangular connecting fillet-like wall segments connecting each primary vane to the impeller shaft. The casing of the pump has a slight spiral deviation so that the pump chamber's radial sidewall flares away from the swept area of the impeller's vanes to define a fluid outlet that contributes to higher P-Q performance, especially when pumping colder fluids.

An improved spa nozzle that is capable of entraining high air flow rates from the surrounding environment, said nozzle of the type having a water input conduit of diameter D, a flow output conduit having entry and diameter of DID, a transition conduit having a diameter of ID and a length of PL, and an air entrainment conduit, and wherein the following ratios are defined to describe the relative geometry of the nozzle: &#x3b1;=PL/(DID&#x2212;ID), &#x3b2;=DID/ID and &#x3b3;=D/ID, the improvement comprising: the water input, transition and output conduits being configured such that &#x3b1; is in the range of 1.3-5 and &#x3b2; is&#x3e;1.9.

An improved injector which mixes a secondary fluid into a carrier fluid stream has (a) a body for directing the flow of the carrier fluid, this body having an internal wall forming a flow passage therethrough, a central axis, an inlet, an outlet, and a port for receiving the secondary fluid that is mixed with the carrier fluid, (b) a ramp-like restriction portion which is located downstream of the body's inlet and upstream of the secondary fluid port and configured so as to decrease the effective cross-sectional area of the flow passage in the direction of the flow of the carrier fluid, (c) a ramp-like expansion portion which is located downstream of the secondary fluid port and upstream of the body's outlet and configured so as to increase the effective cross-sectional area of the flow passage in the direction of the flow of the carrier fluid, (d) a throat portion which is situated between the restriction and expansion portions, and (e) a cavity in the throat that extends from its internal wall and into the body, with the port entering the flow passage at a location in the throat cavity, and wherein this cavity is configured so to promote a vortical flow of the secondary fluid in the cavity.

A seat massager for massaging a person's back has, according to the present invention, a pair of inflatable, massage bladders configured so as to be received in close proximity to a person's back and oriented so that these bladders share an overlaid portion with each other, a pump that supplies fluid to the bladders, a fluidic having an inlet and two exhaust ports, a conduit that connects each of the fluidic exhaust ports to one of the pair of bladders, wherein the fluidic is configured so as to yield alternating flow from the exhaust ports that cyclically inflates and deflates each of the bladders so as to provide a massaging sensation to the back. This massager may also include an inflatable support bladder positioned beneath the massage bladders, another pump that supplies fluid to this support bladder, and a carrier plate on which the pumps are mounted, this plate being configured so as to aid in attaching the seat massager to the frame of a seat into which the seat massager is to be installed.
