An unmanned aerial vehicle includes a fuselage defining a fuselage chamber. A first boom is coupled to the fuselage. A first rotor lift assembly is coupled to the first boom for providing a first lifting force. A second boom is coupled to the fuselage. A second rotor lift assembly is coupled to the second boom for providing a second lifting force. A third boom is coupled to the fuselage. A third rotor lift assembly is coupled to the third boom for providing a third lifting force. A fourth boom is coupled to the fuselage. A fourth rotor lift assembly is coupled to the fourth boom for providing a fourth lifting force. The unmanned aerial vehicle further includes a plurality of rotor blades. At least a portion of the body is constructed of crystalline carbon fibers.

Thermally conductive unmanned aerial vehicle and method of making same

A heat sink is disclosed comprising a metallic pin extending between a proximal end and a distal end. A lower pin stud is positioned adjacent to the proximal end. An upper pin stud is positioned adjacent to the distal end. A base flange is interposed between the lower pin stud and the upper pin stud and defines a lower base surface and an upper base surface. The lower pin stud engages a source aperture and the lower base surface engages a source surface. A composite pitch fiber encapsulates the upper pin stud and the upper base surface. The metallic pin and the composite pitch fiber transfer the thermal energy from the lower pin stud and the lower base surface, through the upper pin stud and through the composite pitch fiber for dissipating the thermal energy from the source.

Heat sink and method

A latch for coupling a first object to a second object is disclosed comprises a primary block coupled to the first object. A locking cam is rotatably coupled to the primary block. A cam track having a sloped surface is in the locking cam. A locking stem slideably engages the primary block and traverses the locking cam. A cam pin is coupled to the locking stem. The cam pin slidably engages the sloped surface for displacing the locking stem between an extended position and a retracted position. A stem head is coupled to the cam pin. A secondary block is coupled to the second object. A cam channel is in the secondary block for receiving the locking stem. A head receiver is in the secondary block for engaging the stem head. The extended position defines an unlocked position and the retracted position defines a locked position.

Latch

An inflatable fender system for protecting a watercraft from damaging contact with a permanent object, such as a dock, wharf, piling and rafted watercraft. Two elongated flexible substantially airtight tubular fenders are provided having a generally flat cross section when uninflated, rolled into a coil and stored at the stern of the watercraft. Each of the tubular fenders is independently extendable along a substantial portion of the length of the watercraft. A controlled air supply or AC or DC compressor on the watercraft is operably connected to each of the tubular fenders for independently selectively inflating and expanding the tubular fenders from the flat cross section during deployment. A hanger system, preferably including a plurality of hangers connectable in spaced relation between the watercraft and each of the tubular fenders support the tubular fenders during deployment to protect the side and gunnels of the watercraft.

Inflatable fender system and method

A portable pneumatic orthopedic body support device for selectively supporting body and torso areas of a user being seated atop a chair or seat. The device includes individual inflatable independent body and torso supports or chambers for legs, lumbar, shoulder blade and neck areas. These supports are independently inflatable and loosely connected together in spaced relationship preferably held thusly by a flexible air conduit assembly or harness. The device, wheel fully deflated includes a waist strap and flexible panels to enclose the supports and air pump/selector valve carryable around the waist as a fanny pack. A combination air pump and selector valve is also provided for selective delivery of compressed air through the conduit assembly to each of the inflatable supports separately and independently for maximum comfort, shape and size.

The present invention is directed to a protective apparatus for housing and protecting sensitive components disposed therein, such as a central processing unit (CPU) or a hard drive. The protective apparatus includes an outer casing, a fan panel, a connector panel, an internal box including the sensitive components and located within the outer casing, an internal housing contained within the internal box, and shock assemblies suspending the internal housing within the internal box.

A front sealing bracket having an open central portion is rigidly connected along an outer margin thereof to, and forms a seal with, the perimeter margin of the front housing. A molded rear housing having a planar perimeter margin and a rear sealing bracket and having an open central portion is rigidly connected to, and forms a seal with the perimeter margin of the rear housing. A flat compressible main sealing gasket having an open central portion is positioned between the front and rear sealing brackets to form a sealed connection therebetween whereby a sealed interior volume is established within the mating housings.

A system and method for improving performance and fuel efficiency of a combustion engine by providing an oxygen enriched gel which is inserted near an air intake, where the gel is stored within a container formed from a gas permeable membrane which is sufficiently porous so as to enable the gel to gradually evaporate. The evaporating gel releases oxygen, which is drawn into the air intake, resulting in reduced emissions and improved performance of the engine. No modifications to the combustion engine are required to use the system. The gel is inexpensive, and the gel container is preferably replaced or refilled approximately as often as an oil change is performed.

An inert gas turbine engine contains a working fluid closed loop system leading from an expansion turbine which is in fluid flow relationship with an expansion chamber. Working fluid within the expansion chamber is heated by the combustion of compressed air and fuel within the combustion chamber. The heated working fluid within the expansion chamber rotates an expansion turbine which in turn rotates the compressor. Combusted gases do not contact the turbine blades. The rotation of the expansion turbine is controlled by the temperature and pressure of the working fluid within the expansion chamber. The temperature of the expansion turbine and working fluid within the expansion chamber may be controlled by the use of various cooling means. Additional turbines may be incorporated within the engine to be turned by the working fluid within the expansion chamber. Heated working fluid which rotates the turbines may be cooled and compressed within the closed loop system prior to re-entry into the expansion chamber and reheating therein.
