Cartridge for a water purification and treatment system

A cartridge based water purification and filtration system which permits cartridge changes without drainage at the input and output ports. Interlocking flanges at the manifold and cartridge lock the cartridge to the manifold and raised surfaces at the cartridge operate the inlet valve with a rotational seating of the cartridge. A spring biased inlet valve depends from a supply manifold input port and cooperates with the filter cartridge to prevent forward flow until the cartridge is seated to the manifold. The check valve includes a split stem which prevents chatter with valve operation. A check valve at the output port cooperates with a sealed bayonet fitting that mates to a concentric outlet port at the cartridge to prevent back flow with cartridge removal.

Dripless purification manifold and cartridge

A sprayer tank is molded with a threaded boss. A hose adapter is coupled with the boss and possesses several attributes including the ability to swivel independently of the tank fitting hose nut, and ability to remove the swivel part, supply tube and hose without removing the tank fitting hose nut. A pressure relief valve is associated with the adapter for venting the tank.

Cartridge connector

A cartridge based water purification and filtration system which permits cartridge changes without drainage at the input and output ports. The cartridge also comprises an inlet/outlet means being a two-stage recess wherein a first cylindrical stage presents a first mating surface for mating with the manifold and a second substantially cylindrical stage presenting a second mating surface for mating with the manifold. Both the first and second mating surfaces are substantially continuous and free of interruption by fluid seals.

A device for filtering fluids which is cleanable and re-usable is described. The device includes a cylindrical canister, a cylindrical lid and a filter cartridge. The device is adapted to be disposed in a fluid flow circuit, filtering particulate from the fluid circulating therein. The filter cartridge is quickly removed, cleaned and reused. The fluid enters and exits the device from the top end through fluid inlets and an outlet extending through the lid perpendicular to the lids upper planar surface, thereby reducing the amount of space required to mount the device. The fluid inlets include sloping fins that direct fluids in the filtering chamber in a spiraling action, thereby increasing the effectiveness of the filter.

Cleanable oil filter

A water filtering and purifying apparatus made according to the present invention comprises a water filtering and purifying apparatus for filtering and purifying water as it is ejected from a container at low gauge pressures generated by manually squeezing the container. The water filtering apparatus includes a cover for attaching to the container wherein the cover has a pressure responsive venting system for allowing air into the container while substantially preventing air and water contained in the container from escaping. A water filtration and purifying system is contained within the container and the filtration and purifying system comprises a replaceable pleated filter connected to a purifying cartridge.

Water filtering and purifying apparatus

An improved sprayer assembly for delivery of physiologic glue, including fibrin glue, is disclosed. The sprayer assembly is comprised of at least one female receptacle rigidly affixed to a base member and a sprayer member having at least one atomizing ejection port on an external surface opposing the base member. Within the sprayer member, a system of fluid channels permits each reservoir to be emptied into a well from angular connecting channels, which causes enhanced turbulence within each well. A vortex is created which propagates through an exit port and down an exit channel, causing each solution to exit the sprayer member at each ejection port in a swirling pattern. The spray patterns emitted from each syringe or reservoir overlap, causing droplets of solution to contact one another and commence a clotting reaction at a wound surface. The sprayer assembly is joined to a conventional syringe, a catheter or other solution reservoir. Thus, quickly reacting substances are stored apart from one another and only come into contact while airborne. The positioning of the ejection ports is selected to prevent droplets exiting one port from contaminating the contents within the neighboring port and channel. Thus, propagation of the reaction within the device, and subsequent plugging of the assembly is avoided.
