A catheter pump is disclosed. The catheter pump can include an impeller and a catheter body having a lumen in which waste fluid flows proximally therethrough during operation of the catheter pump. The catheter pump can also include a drive shaft disposed inside the catheter body. A motor assembly can include a chamber. The motor assembly can include a rotor disposed in the at least a portion of the chamber, the rotor mechanically coupled with a proximal portion of the drive shaft such that rotation of the rotor causes the drive shaft to rotate, the rotor including a longitudinal rotor lumen therethrough. The motor assembly can also comprise a stator assembly disposed about the rotor. During operation of the catheter pump, the waste fluid flows from the lumen into the chamber such that at least a portion of the waste fluid flows proximally through the longitudinal rotor lumen.

A fluid handling system includes a console configured to connect with a first electrical interface that is configured to connect to a plurality of components of the fluid handling system, the console including a second electrical interface configured to connect with the first electrical interface, a display, and one or more hardware processors. A control system includes the one or more hardware processors and a non-transitory memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the control system to: detect an electrical signal from a first component of the plurality of components of the fluid handling system responsive to a caretaker performing a first instruction; determine a system state of the fluid handling system based at least in part on the electrical signal from the first component; compare the system state with a predetermined state condition corresponding to said first instruction; and output an indication on the display of the system state.

Various embodiments of a system for priming a catheter assembly are disclosed herein. For example, the system can include a catheter assembly including an elongate body and an operative device coupled thereto. The system can also include a priming vessel configured to receive insertion of the operative device therein. The priming vessel can include a proximal portion secured to the distal portion of the elongate body such that the elongate body is in fluid communication with the priming vessel. The priming vessel can also include a distal end through which air is expelled when a fluid is channeled through the elongate body and into the priming vessel to expel air from within the catheter assembly.

Various embodiments of a fluid handling system are disclosed herein. For example, the fluid handling system can include a catheter assembly and a console configured to control the operation of the catheter assembly. A removable interface member can be configured to provide fluid and electrical communication between the catheter assembly and the console. Additionally, a control system is disclosed for controlling operation of the fluid handling system.

Apparatus and methods for predictively controlling the temperature of a coolant delivered to a treatment apparatus configured to non-invasively treat a patient's tissue with doses of electromagnetic energy. The treatment apparatus includes a closed-loop cooling system connected with an energy delivery device used to deliver the electromagnetic energy to the patient's tissue. Coolant is pumped from a reservoir to the energy delivery device in the closed-loop cooling system. The control temperature of the coolant in the reservoir is adjusted based upon the specific room air temperature. This predictive adjustment promotes better control over the coolant temperature at the energy delivery device by lessening the effects of heat gain in transit from the reservoir to the energy delivery device.

Methods and apparatus for predictively controlling the temperature of a coolant delivered to a treatment device

Apparatus and methods for treating skin conditions that deliver high frequency energy to a patient's tissue. The apparatus has a treatment tip configured to be removably connected with a handpiece, a conduit inside the handpiece, and a flow control valve inside the handpiece. The treatment tip has an electrode configured to deliver the high frequency energy to a region of the tissue. A lumen of the conduit is configured to transfer a heat transfer fluid from the handpiece to a flow passageway in the treatment tip. When the treatment tip is removed from the handpiece, the flow control valve is configured to occlude the lumen of the conduit for reducing leakage of the heat transfer fluid from the handpiece.
