In accordance with at least one example embodiments, a swivel lamp may include a primary housing, a lamp housing enclosing at least one light emitting member at a first end of the lamp housing and at least one light emitting member at a second end of the lamp housing, and a switch configured to control power to the light emitting members.

Disclosed is a flashlight comprised of a bezel assembly, a case configured to enclose a first battery and a second battery in a side-by-side manner, and a tube extending from the bezel into the case assembly to at least partially enclose the first battery and provide a physical barrier between the first and second batteries.

Disclosed is an assembly which may attach to a helmet. In at least one example embodiment, the assembly may include a light, a clip, and a bracket. In the instant example the light may include at least one engaging member configured to engage at least one engaging member on the clip and the clip may be configured to attach to the bracket with at least one fastener.

Methods and devices are described that use one or more thermally responsive current-controlling elements to regulate current flow to an electrical component, particularly a light source such as an LED. Examples of such thermally responsive current-controlling elements include thermistors, inductors, and capacitors. for treating conditions or disorders which can be alleviated by reducing food intake are disclosed which comprise administration of an effective amount of a purine analog, alone or in conjunction with other compounds or compositions that affect satiety. The methods are useful for treating conditions or disorders wherein appetite reduction would be beneficial, including obesity and binge-eating disorder. Pharmaceutical compositions for use in the methods of the invention are also disclosed.

Methods and devices that employ thermal control of current to electrical components

A shock-resistant and environmentally sealed container comprising a first section and a second section. A latching system for the container comprises a deflectable pin coupled to the first section of the container with a latch coupled to the second section. The latch includes a deflectable pin engaging member. When the deflectable pin engaging member is engaged with the deflectable pin, the deflectable pin absorbs relative movement between the first section and the second section of the container. Another embodiment of the container employs a latch containing a deflectable member. The latch is pivotally coupled to a latch pin that is mounted to either the first section or the second section of the container. The deflectable member is positioned between the latch pin and the latch, and the deflectable member is configured to absorb relative movement between the first section and the second section.

Parameters that can be adjusted, for example, include the intensity of light exiting the headlight assembly, the dispersion of light emitted from the headlight, the direction of illumination, and the like.

Flashlight bezels, which comprise a bezel, lens, and a thermal conductor disposed in and through the lens so as to be positioned conduct heat from a light source positioned to one side of the lens to space on the opposite side of the lens, are described. When included in a flashlight, the thermal conductor portion of the bezel becomes associated with the light source so that heat generated by the light source, when energized, can be efficiently transferred to the environment, for example, water, in which the flashlight is being used. By so doing, the efficiency of the light source can be maintained, the service life of the light source may be extended, etc.

Systems, methods and devices for lighting are provided with a reflector with paraboloidal segments. One lighting system includes a reflector having one or more reflector segments. Each reflector segment is substantially paraboloidal and has a central axis of symmetry. The lighting system also includes an illumination portion having one or more light sources. Each light source corresponds to one of the reflector segments and has a central illumination axis. The central illumination axis is directed toward the corresponding segment and substantially perpendicular to the central axis of symmetry of the corresponding segment.

Emergency flashlight

An efficient system and method for zooming the light from a flashlight is disclosed. Multiple refractive lenses are translated in unison to allow zooming of the light while reducing the size and weight of the required lenses. In another aspect, a meniscus lens is used to reduce the amount of light lost from a light-emitting diode (LED). One method includes providing a light source in a housing and translating a lens arrangement substantially along a light path of a light beam generated by the light source. The lens arrangement includes at least two refractive lenses separated by a gap, a size of the gap being maintained during translation of the lens arrangement.

Multi-lens zoom system and method for flashlights

A keyboard assembly having a housing with one or more openings in which keys are located. A circuit board is located inside the housing and adjacent to the keys such that striking the keys causes switches of the circuit board to be switched. A liquid resistant barrier is located between the keys and the circuit board, protecting the circuit board and/or other electronic components from being contacted by liquids spilled on the keyboard.
