A stator assembly includes an annular body extending about a central axis and a plurality of stator teeth extending axially from the annular body and spaced circumferentially about the annular body. The stator assembly includes at least one conduction coil and at least one bobbin configured to support the at least one conduction coil. The at least one bobbin is coupled to a first stator tooth such that the at least one conduction coil extends about the first stator tooth. The stator assembly further includes at least one insulation member configured to couple to a second stator tooth and extend into a slot between the second stator tooth and the at least one conduction coil. The at least one insulation member includes an end wall configured to cover the distal end of the second stator tooth when the at least one insulation member is coupled to the second stator tooth.

A lamination for use in an electric machine stator includes a body having a generally circular outer periphery and a generally circular inner periphery, spaced from the outer periphery and a plurality of spaced apart teeth extending inwardly from the circular inner periphery. Each of said teeth define opposed inner edges thereof. The lamination includes a first pair of tips extending tangentially in opposed directions from the inner edge of one of said teeth and a second pair of tips extending tangentially in opposed directions from the inner edges of another one of said teeth. A tip of the first pair of tips and a tip of the second pair of tips define a first configuration having a first gap therebetween and defining a second configuration having a second gap therebetween. The first gap being substantially less than the second gap.

An electric motor with a stator includes a first plurality of coils and a plurality of first electrical connectors. Each of the coils of the first plurality of coils are connected to at least one of the plurality of first electrical connectors. The stator also includes a first guide on a first end of the motor for guiding each of the first electrical connectors. The stator also includes a second plurality of coils. Each of the coils of the second plurality coils is connected to at least one of a plurality of second electrical connectors. The stator also includes a second guide on a opposed second end of the motor positioned at least partially over the second end face of the stator. The second guide guides each of the second electrical connectors.

A bobbin assembly for use in a stator assembly for a motor assembly having an axis of rotation is provided. The bobbin assembly includes a conductor coil comprising a radially inner end and a radially outer end. The bobbin assembly also includes a bobbin including a body portion having a first end and a second end, wherein the conductor coil is coupled about the body portion. The bobbin also includes a first flange coupled to the first end, a second flange coupled to the second end, and an extension tab formed on one of the first flange or the second flange. The extension tab extends radially beyond one of the radially inner end or radially outer end of the conductor coil.

An insulation member for a stator assembly includes a first portion configured to couple to a first stator tooth and a second portion movably coupled to the first portion. The insulation member has a first configuration and a second configuration. The second portion is configured to move relative to the first portion when the insulation member moves between the first configuration and the second configuration. The second portion is configured to extend adjacent a second stator tooth when the first portion is coupled to the first stator tooth and the insulation member is in the second configuration.

A liner for use for a resilient stator of an electric machine for positioning between teeth formed in the stator. The stator is conformable from a first generally extending shape with opposed spaced apart ends and to a second generally hollow circular shape. The liner includes a central portion for positioning in a cavity between the adjacent teeth, a first end portion for limiting motion of the liner extending from the central portion and adapted to cooperate with a first end face of the stator, and a second end portion extending from the central portion and cooperating with a second end face of the stator, opposed to the first end face. The first end portion limits motion of the liner. The liner is positioned between adjacent teeth when the stator is in the first shape and remains in the cavity when the stator is in the second shape.
