A pallet safety marker apparatus to provide a visual warning of the presence of a pallet. The safety marker apparatus includes a base structured to be inserted under, around and/or on a corner of a pallet. A safety-marker post extends upwardly from the base and may include offset, tilting and/or telescopic segments and visual enhancements. A safety marker/topper secured to a top end of the post formed in a geometric shape with color, texture and/or luminescent patterns to provide a visually-distinct warning. The post and/or topper may be translucent or transparent with enclosed lighting to impart a visual warning. Extendable/retractable safety bands may be incorporated into the safety markers/toppers.

Pallet safety apparatus and method

A weather seal includes an elongated micro-cellular foam bulb, and an elongated micro-cellular foam fin element attached to an extending along the length of the foam bulb. The fin elements includes a spine having opposed planar surfaces and at least one microcellular foam barb extending outwardly and at a downward angle from each surface and along the length of the spine. As an alternative to barbs, another option is to use a higher durometer foamed thermoplastic elastomer in a hollow circle shape that would push into a retention pocket. A t-slot version that has a foamed bulb and a polypropylene base is another option.

Method for manufacturing a micro-cellular foam weather seal

Assemblies of a cap and a tube fixed to the cap are provided in which at least a portion of each assembly has a visual coding of color and/or indicia for use with one of different sizes of bottles at least in accordance with a height of the bottles from a closed bottom end to an open top end for engaging the cap of the assembly. In each assembly, the cap has a tube mounted to, or through, an aperture extending through the cap to extend a selected length enabling one end of the tube to reach or extend along at least a portion of an interior surface of the bottom end of any of the bottles of the height to which the assembly is coded for use therewith. Each of the caps has another tube or port to another aperture of the cap to provide an air vent.

System, apparatus and method for coding cap and tube assemblies for different bottle sizes

A plurality of caps are provided each with a visual coding of color and/or indicia for use with different sizes of bottles at least in accordance with a height of the bottles from a closed bottom end to an open top end for engaging each of the caps. Each of the caps has a tube mounted to, or through, an aperture extending through a top closed end of the cap to extend a selected length enabling one end of the tube to reach or extend along an interior surface of the bottom end of any of the bottles of the height to which the cap is coded for use therewith. System, apparatus and method for coding caps for different bottle sizes

A system to enable operators of extrusion facilities to eliminate the error of installing the incorrect weatherseal in an extrusion or profile. The operators extruding the profiles are provided a list by the fabricator of what weatherseal is to be inserted by placing indicia on the backing of the weatherseal, as by printing the die or profile number on the actual backing of the weatherseal, thereby providing improved weatherseals having unique indicia. The indicia designates the profile which will receive the die. The indicia correlates weatherseal with the profile/die number to confirm that the proper weatherseal is being used. To confirm the correct weatherseal is being used for the profile being produced, all the operator has to do is look at the back of the weatherseal.

Filamentary materials, such as yarn (), is wound a frame (), provided by pairs of movable filaments or wires (), about which the end of the spindle () rotates provides the turns () of the winding as the article having the winding is moved along a process path. Mechanically or hydraulically actuated pins () support the winding frame in a fixed position. The filaments of the frame may be provided by laterally spaced pairs () of filaments of weldable material.

Apparatus and methods for making pile articles and improved pile articles made therewith

A pile weatherstrip has a pile of yarn ultrasonically welded to a backing strip inside a channel defined by flanges, called pile directors, which direct the pile perpendicularly with respect to the backing. A film provides a covering for the pile and is releasably attached to the flanges on the outside thereof. The covering film may have perforations therein which are located adjacent to the flanges near the upper ends of the flanges. Alternatively, a weak ultrasonic weld of the covering to the flanges, such as made at much lower energy than used to weld the pile and the backing together, provides a releasable attachment for the covering. The covering protects the pile, for example during installation in a frame which may be painted after the weatherstrip is installed. The covering can be released by being pulled off the pile director flanges after installation and painting.

Weatherseals are provided by a pair of base members which may be attached to a pile formed by winding fibers around a band as the band travels along an endless path. A section of the pile on one side of the endless band is cut to provide cut pile section and a continuous pile section. The continuous pile section forms the bow, arch or loop by disposing the base members in side-by-side, back-to-back, or perpendicular relationship. The cut pile section may be removed at the base members or halves of the cut pile section maybe left in place. The cut pile section halves and the outside surface of the bow, arch, or ioop may be attached by base members to a member, such as by adhesive or via one or more T-shaped slots, that is in sealing relationship with another member and engagable therewith to provide a resilient seal.

In a process for extruding a low density foam, a foamable thermoplastic elastomer such as a thermoplastic rubber is selected. The selected thermoplastic elastomer is then fed into a heated extruder barrel where it is compressed and melted by the action of a screw. A blowing agent consisting of water is introduced into the melted thermoplastic elastomer. The melted thermoplastic elastomer and the water are thoroughly mixed and then cooled to a uniform, predetermined temperature. The mixture is then forced through a die to form an extruded foam profile.

One embodiment of a gasket for shielding electromagnetic interference passing through a seam between first and second electrically conductive bodies includes a base for securing the gasket to the first, electrically conductive body and a multiplicity of discrete, elongate, metallized filaments projecting substantially perpendicularly from the base so that a substantial amount of the filaments contacts the second, electrically conductive body when electromagnetic interference passing through a seam between the bodies is to be shielded. The gasket further includes structure, arranged with the base, for providing an electrically conductive path for conducting electric current between the filaments and the first, electrically conductive body. In this manner, energy absorbed the shielding member as a result of the shielding of passing electromagnetic interference can be dissipated to ground through the first, electrically conductive body. The gasket is particularly useful for shielding electromagnetic energy passing through seams between electrical apparatus housings and door or access panels in such housings.
