An information handling system has a storage device including a telemetry log, a BIOS configured to provide BIOS status data and BIOS security data, an OS configured to provide OS status data and OS security data, and a security management module. The security management module determines whether the information handling system is in a low-threat state or a high-threat state. When the information handling system is in the low-threat state, the security management module directs the BIOS to store the BIOS status data to the telemetry log and the OS to store the OS status data to the telemetry log. When the information handling system is in the high-threat state, the security management module directs at least one of the BIOS to store the BIOS security data and the OS to store the OS security data.

Systems and methods for handling platform-agnostic pre-boot health information in an Information Handling System (IHS) are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an IHS may include a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: create an Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) table, by a Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) during boot of the IHS, wherein the ACPI table comprises telemetry data and an identifier; and provide the ACPI table to an Operating System (OS) application, wherein the host OS application is configured to select one of a plurality of parsers to process the ACPI table based, at least in part, upon the identifier.

Systems and methods for configuring peripherals in response to accidents are described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include: a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: obtain a notification of a shock event of the IHS; communicate information regarding the shock event to peripheral firmware of one or more peripherals of the IHS. The peripheral firmware may receive the information regarding the shock event of the IHS from the IHS; and responsive to the information, perform a corrective action. In some embodiments, the corrective action includes a configuration update and a communication to the IHS of the configuration update, a self-test scan for health of the peripheral, shutting off port or data access to the peripheral, and/or collection of telemetry of the peripheral.

An information handling system may include a processor and a management controller electrically coupled to the processor and configured to provide out-of-band management facilities for management of the information handling system, the management controller further configured to in response to one or more heartbeat synchronization signals received from a software service of the information handling system, wherein each of the one or more heartbeat synchronization signals is associated with an item of software stored on the information handling system, determine if any critical software is missing from the information handling system, and for each item of missing critical software, cause a service operating system of the information handling system to stage installation of a restore image of such item.

Systems and methods for restoring critical software using management controller

A client information handling system may communicate with a remote information handling system to resolve an error encountered by an application of the client information handling system. The remote information handling system may receive an error report and one or more client system parameters from the client information handling system. The remote information handling system may then compare the received error report and received client system parameters with stored error data and associated system parameters detailing occurrence of the error on other information handling systems. The remote information handling system may determine an error resolution based, at least in part, on the comparison and may transmit the error resolution to the client information handling system.

Automated application error resolution for information handling system

Systems and methods may be implemented to prevent application crashes by correlating a history of operating system (OS) updates with occurrence of past client application crashes using information that is crowd-sourced from multiple information handling systems so that action/s may be taken to prevent occurrence of future client application crashes on the information handling system/s. Machine learning (e.g., deep learning) may be employed to automatically correlate the history of OS updates with a record of past client application crashes that have occurred on multiple client information handling systems, and then the likely root cause/s for the client application crashes identified based on this correlation. These likely root cause/s may be corrected or otherwise addressed, e.g., by further investigation into the details of the root cause, and/or user or automatic system action to remove or block the root cause.
