An article of footwear includes a midsole comprising a lattice structure including an upper side and a lower side. The lattice structure is comprised of a network of interconnected laths, the laths configured as parallel wave structures in multiple layers, wherein the wave structures in a first layer are transverse to the wave structures in a second layer. An upper is disposed above the midsole and an outsole is disposed below the midsole.

An article of footwear includes a sole, an upper connected to the sole, and a support framework. The upper defines a foot cavity configured to receive a human foot. The upper further defines an ankle region, a heel region, a midfoot region, and a forefoot region. The upper also includes an inner layer and an outer layer. The support framework is integrated into the ankle region of the article of footwear. The support framework includes a plurality of substantially vertical support members traversing a plurality of substantially horizontal support members at intersections. A plurality of tensioning members are positioned on the upper in association with a tongue slot, wherein each of the substantially horizontal support members is coupled to one of the plurality of tensioning members.

An article of footwear includes a midsole, an upper disposed above the midsole, and an outsole disposed below the midsole. The midsole includes a unitary lattice structure having an upper side and a lower side, wherein the upper side is a user-facing side and the lower side is a ground-facing side. The midsole further includes an upper rim integrally formed with the unitary lattice structure. The upper rim extends around an upper perimeter defined on the upper side of the lattice structure.

An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole assembly. The sole assembly includes a unitary, open-celled structure. Specifically, the sole assembly includes a lattice structure having an interconnected network of struts and nodes that cooperate to define voids. The struts and nodes are configured to generate predetermined support and flexure properties within the network. The lattice may be configured as a conformal lattice, being contoured to receive accessories or complementary support structures. The sole assembly may further include an insert formed of compression material (e.g., foam). In operation, the lattice and foam insert cooperate to provide stability and cushioning to the article of footwear.

An article of footwear includes a sole, an upper defining a foot cavity, and a brace member. The brace member is comprised of a non-elastic resilient material. The brace member is positioned within a pocket in the upper and extends from a heel portion to above an ankle portion of the upper. The brace member may be provided with a top plate member and a base plate member with a central shaft extending between the top plate member and the base plate member. The central shaft may have a C-shape that curves around an ankle of a human foot positioned within the foot cavity.

The present invention is directed toward cushioning for a sole structure for an article of footwear. The cushioning is three-dimensionally (3D) printed cushioning formed from a plurality of cells. Each cell in the plurality of cells includes a lattice of elongate structures that extend symmetrically around an offset axis. The elongate structures of adjacent cells in the plurality of cells connect so that the plurality of cells form a unitary structure and, as the elongate structures of each cell are compressed by a compressive force, the elongate structures of each cell create a lateral shear. As the compressive force is released, the elongate structures return to a rest position, exerting a restorative force on the insole and/or upper of an article of footwear in which the cushioning is included.

An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole member connected to upper. The sole member includes a plurality of tubular structures. Each of the plurality of tubular structures is at least partially filled with a loose granular material.

Midsole lattice with hollow tubes for footwear

A vent structure and a method of forming a vent from a vent structure are described herein. The vent structure includes a first elongate member, a second elongate member, and a set of ribs extending between the first elongate member and the second elongate member. The first elongate member is configured to be attached to a first side of an opening formed in an article of apparel and the second elongate member is configured to be attached to a second side of the opening, the second side being opposite the first side. Collectively, the first elongate member, second elongate member, and the set of ribs bias the first side and the second side to an open configuration that exposes and expands the opening.
