A windshield window wiping system, including a wiper blade in contact with a windshield window; a wiper motor operatively connected to the wiper blade, configured to perform a wiper blade stroke; a reservoir for a wash fluid; a first hood mounted nozzle, configured to project the wash fluid toward the windshield window; a wash pump, wherein the wash pump is hydraulically connected to the first hood mounted nozzle; and a first electronic circuit, configured to estimate a position of the wiper blade during the wiper blade stroke based on an input to the first electronic circuit and to synchronize the projection of the wash fluid toward the windshield window with the estimated position of the wiper blade. In other aspects, a method of wiping a windshield window and a non-transitory computer readable medium are provided.

A windshield window wiping system, including a wiper blade in contact with a windshield window; a wiper motor operatively connected to the wiper blade, configured to perform a wiper blade stroke; a reservoir for a wash fluid; a first plurality of holes on a first leading edge of the wiper blade, configured to project the wash fluid toward the windshield window; a wash pump, wherein the wash pump is hydraulically connected to the first plurality of holes; and a first electronic circuit, configured to estimate a position of the wiper blade during the wiper blade stroke based on an input to the first electronic circuit and to synchronize the projection of the wash fluid toward the windshield window with the estimated position of the wiper blade. In other aspects, a method of wiping a windshield window and a non-transitory computer readable medium are provided.

Wiper blade wash pump control based on predicted wiper arm position

A sensor system includes a housing that houses a thermally sensitive sensor, a transmitter portion and a power source. Preferably, the sensor device is encapsulated to protect the components from the environment. When the temperature in a component mounting the sensor system exceeds a preselected threshold, the thermostat sensor closes and the transmitter portion is energized by the power source to transmit a signal to a receiver unit.

Thermally activated sensor system

A device for detecting undesirable vibrations in a vehicle drive line utilizes a sensor that communicates with a controller to indicate undesirable vibrations in a drive line component. In one example, a temperature sensor is placed in a central portion of a universal joint. The temperature sensor preferably is supported within a single housing along with a transmitter that is responsive to the temperature sensor to transmit a signal to a remotely located receiver without using a hardwire connection between the transmitter and receiver. Packaging the temperature sensor, transmitter and a power source within a single housing provides the ability to seal off or close a series of lubrication channels that extend through the universal joint. In another example, a contact-based sensor provides a signal whenever a vibration of a drive line component occurs. The contact-based sensor signal preferably is processed to monitor the number of vibrations over time and a vehicle operator is provided with an indication of the level of vibrations as desired.

Drive line vibration detection system

An electrical fault recognition control is incorporated into a vehicle. The control includes a sensor which monitors the current and voltage draw from the battery, and identifies faults in the power draw. When a fault is detected, systems which are then actuated are identified and stored. By comparing the systems which are actuated over a plurality of anomalies, the control is able to identify which system is likely to be failing. A signal may then be sent to the operator.
