This application discloses tools to build a topology library including one or more topologies, each of which includes a description of multiple transistors, their parameters, and associated connectivity, and also includes rules or criteria to be utilized in downstream design flow processes. The tools can analyze a circuit design describing an electronic device to recognize a subset of transistors in the electronic device has a pre-defined circuit topology, and identify layout rules or simulation criteria for the transistors in the recognized circuit topology. The tools can utilize the layout rules to automatically generate a portion of a physical design layout corresponding to the recognized topology in the circuit design. The tools also can compare results from a simulation of the circuit design that correspond to the transistors in the recognized circuit topology to the simulation criteria to determine whether the transistors in the recognized circuit topology meet design specifications.

Recognizing and utilizing circuit topology in an electronic circuit design

A wristband mountable accessory is provided which includes a body, a flashlight in said body, and an upper compartment sized and shaped to hold medications (such as tablets, pills, lozenges, etc.) and paper upon which medical and/or emergency information can be written. Mounting wings extend from opposite sides of the body to enable the accessory to be mounted to a wristband by threading the wristband through the mounting wings. The mounting wings are provided with sizing pegs so that the accessory can accommodate a variety of sizes (widths) of wristbands.

A document holder is provided which can be mounted to a vertical or horizontal surface. The document holder, which is substantially smaller than a regular 8&frac12;&Prime;&times;11&Prime; sheet of paper frictionally holds the paper in place for reading.

A sharps disposal unit of the present invention includes a cover and a disposable container upon which the cover rests. The cover includes a drop slot in its top surface, a baffle sloping downwardly from an edge of the drop slot, and a heated well which holds a supply of a melted sealant which will solidify upon cooling. The disposable container has a top surface with a flap in it and preferably has accordioned walls. The flap is hinged along a hinge line and is pushed downwardly by plates in the cover to open the container. A peel-off label is removably, applied to the flap. The flap, when opened, form a second baffle below the cover baffle which slopes in an opposite direction of the cover baffle. A closure (such as a tie) is provided to hold the flap closed when the container is full, and it is time to dispose of the filled container. The sealant encases needle tips to reduce the possibility of sticks by used needles and can be drawn into the hollow shaft of used needles; the container flap reduces the possibility of sharps falling out of the container if the container is dropped; and, the double baffle system reduces the possibility of someone reaching inside of the unit and gaining access to the needles. The peel-off removable label reduces the amount of germs which contact the flap. Upon removal of the label, the container flap (and hence the outside of the container) will be substantially free of germs which would otherwise be deposited in the container by the sharps deposited in the container.

Sharps disposal

An animal enclosure of the present invention includes a pen sized to hold the animal. The pen is formed from a frame which is covered with a removable, washable cover. A gate for the enclosure includes a panel which is raised to close the gate and lowered to open the gate. The panel can be fixed at a desired position, so that the gate can be left partially opened. A top is provided which can be easily mounted to, and removed from, the pen frame. The top is hingedly connected to the frame and includes a pair of pivotal support arms so that the front of the top can be elevated above the pen a desired amount. A whelping rail is removably received in the pen. The whelping rail comprises a frame having a bar member and legs which support the bar above a bottom of the pen and inwardly from the pen walls.

Multi-use pet environment

A toaster includes a toaster body having a top wall, at least one toasting chamber in the top wall, a bottom, side walls, and end walls. A seat is adjacent to, and extends along at least a portion of one of the side walls (and preferably along both of the side walls). The seat allows toast to be placed in contact with the wall of the toaster to be kept warm by heat radiating through the toaster wall. In one embodiment, the seat is simply an exposed shelf. In another embodiment, the seat forms a bottom surface of an enclosed warming chamber. The warming chamber is defined by an outer wall which is spaced from the toaster body side wall, a top wall, a front wall, a back wall, and the seat. A door is provided to allow access to the chamber. Preferably, the door can be removed from the toaster. The toaster includes oversized controls (a start lever and a darkness control lever) to allow the controls to be easily seen and manipulated. To make the controls even easier to be seen, the color of the control levers will contrast with the color of the toaster body.

Apparatus and method for measuring electrical activity of heart

A letter opener includes a handle portion, a depending neck portion, and oppositely extending tine portions carried by the neck portion. A cutting edge is mounted on each side of the neck portion such that either of the tine portions can be inserted under the flap of a sealed envelope and moved across the envelope to permit the respective cutting edge to slice open the envelope. Since the novel letter opener according to the invention includes two cutting edges, the useful life of the letter opener is doubled over the useful life of prior art, single cutting edge letter openers. Inasmuch as the letter opener may carry one or more informational messages, such as advertising messages, postal rate information, etc., the length of time the messages are exposed to the user is also doubled, thereby doubling the value of the letter opener to both the user as well as those employing the letter opener as a medium of communication to the user.

Letter opener

A smooth surfaced, inelastic, flexible, belt-like strip for recording electrocardiograms having a series of six separate precordial electrodes, three fixed and three being independently movable leads with electrodes and movable within a fixed range insuring proper placement on the patient's chest or precordium during usage, the S-shape of the belt-like strip enables it to cover the proper recording areas. The fixed, electrodes, which are raised and compressible, maintain contact with patients' chests despite variations in chest size among patients. The apparatus is attached around the chest with an adjustable elastic strap providing a constant and evenly distributed downward force holding it and the precordial contacts, which are between the strip and patient's chest, in place. Internal lead wires attach at the sides of the precordial belt-like strip with electrodes placed on each arm via external lead wires. The internal lead wires from the precordial electrodes and from the left and right arm electrodes are inside or on the outside surface of the belt-like strip and emerge therefrom at one place to form a main cable which connects to an electrocardiograph machine. Two additional wire leads from electrodes on each leg enter the main cable to transmit signals from each lower limb electrode to the electrocardiograph machine. This device is reusable for many patients, easily cleaned and designed for use with a variety of body habitus.

A writing instrument in a conical configuration is provided which is less easily misplaced and which can be placed in a position of vertical stability if desired. The surface areas of the writing instrument are well adapted to display decorative or promotional indicia of a number of different types, or a combination of both.

Conical pen

A dispenser for pens and pencils as well as other elongated objects includes a housing in which the pens or pencils are placed. The housing has a discharge slot and contains a movable ramp which is inclined downwardly toward the discharge slot. Normally the ramp assumes an upper or hold position in which it blocks the discharge slot and prevents pens from rolling out of the housing. However, when the ramp is depressed by applying a force to an actuating tab that projects outwardly from it, the discharge slot is opened and a pen will roll out of the housing and onto retaining lips which form an outward continuation of the ramp. The housing further contains posts which are located immediately below the ramp when the ramp is in its upper position. However, when the ramp is depressed to its release position, the posts project upwardly through the ramp and prevent a succession of pens from rolling out of the discharge opening and onto the retaining lip. The posts further serve to agitate the pens approaching the discharge slot so as to prevent jams from developing at the discharge opening.

Dispenser for pens, pencils and other elongated objects

A device for indicating the presence and distance required to clear a velocipede is provided which is attached easily to the velocipede, for example, a bicycle, on a frame member or a luggage carrier, the luggage carrier being mounted to a suitable structural member of the bicycle. The device includes indicating means and means for providing a storage position for the indicating means. The indicating means may be displayed on either or both sides of the bicycle. The indicating means is designed to be spring mounted to a support member attached to the bicycle frame, or to the end of a standard bicycle luggage carrier on bicycles so equipped.
