An imaging system is provided. In one embodiment, an imaging system includes a radiation source and a digital detector. The imaging system may also include first and second structures, each configured to receive the digital detector. Further, the imaging system may include system control circuitry configured to control exposure of the digital detector by the radiation source and to acquire image data from the digital detector. Additionally, the digital detector may be configured to communicate its location to the system control circuitry based on receipt of the digital detector by the first or second receiving structures. Additional systems, methods, and devices are also disclosed.

Systems, methods and apparatus to calibrate a solid state X-ray detector

Certain embodiments provide a method and system for improved x-ray image data acquisition using a digital x-ray detector. The method and system include defining groups of scan lines in a detector, associating data lines in the detector with the groups of scan lines, and reading image data from the groups of scan lines using the associated data lines. The scan lines are connected with a plurality of pixels. A region of interest may be defined in the detector. The pixels obtain image data regarding the region of interest. The image data may be read from at least one scan line in each of the groups of scan lines using the associated data lines. Alternatively, the image data may be read from alternating groups of the scan lines using the associated data lines. Image data may also be binned from adjacent pixels read using a plurality of data lines.

Method and apparatus for improved data acquisition using a solid state digital X-ray detector

A technique is provided for improving performance of a digital detector system, such as in a digital X-ray system. Improved frame rates and enhanced resolutions are achieved by selecting a field of view of interest and processing pixel information only for the selected field of view. Data from a series of rows of the detector are simultaneously processed by restoring charge to pixels of a row, while digitizing signals from a previously recharged row, and transmitting digital signals for a third row for which the signals were previously digitized. Scrubbing of rows outside the selected field of view may be performed as signals are detected and processes for rows within the selected field of view.

Method and apparatus for increasing the data acquisition rate in a digital detector

A method of maintaining an initial bias of an x-ray detector () includes setting the initial bias of the x-ray detector. Operating state of a readout circuit () is altered. A photodiode common contact voltage potential is adjusted by a data line drift amount to approximately maintain the initial bias. An x-ray imaging system () includes a detector () that has multiple pixels, multiple data lines (), and a common contact () that is at a common contact voltage potential. The readout circuit () is electrically coupled to the data lines () and has a multiple power states. A controller () is electrically coupled to the readout circuit (), detects a change in operating state of the readout circuit (), and adjusts voltage potential of the common contact () in response to the change in operating state.

Method of reducing recovery time in an x-ray detector

An x-ray detector is provided to acquire an image. The x-ray detector comprises detector elements that store a charge representative of an x-ray level. The detector elements are arranged in rows and columns. Scan lines are arranged in rows or columns and connect to the detector elements. First and second sets of sensing circuits read the charge from the detector elements. A first set of data lines connects to the first set of sensing circuits and a second set of data lines connects to the second set of sensing circuits. At least one of the data lines from the first set of data lines is interspersed with the second set of data lines.

Method and apparatus for acquiring a series of images utilizing a solid state detector with alternating scan lines

A computer input device includes a non-conductive substrate with a first conductive pattern formed by a plurality of first conductive elements positioned on the substrate surface circumferentially around a circle. A second conductive pattern formed by a plurality of second conductive elements, each positioned on the surface between two first conductive elements. A contact member has a conductive surface which when manually operated by a user selectively connects one or more of the first conductive elements to one or more of the second conductive elements. The ones of the second conductive elements so connected can be detected to produce a signal indicating an angular direction in which a cursor on a computer screen.
