A connector assembly that includes an electrical connector and an electrically conductive busbar. The connector can include a housing that defines a receptacle, a first row of at least one power contact, and a second row of at least one power contact at a location spaced from the first row along a first direction. Each power contact of the first and second rows can define at least two mating ends that are at least partially disposed in the receptacle so as to define a slot that extends between the mating ends of the first row and the mating ends of the second row. The housing can include a first attachment member. The electrically conductive busbar can include a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and an attachment member that is configured to mate with the first attachment member so as to attach the busbar to the housing.

A right-angle electrical connector is configured to be mounted onto an upper mounting surface of a substrate that defines a bottom surface opposed from the upper mounting surface so as to define a thickness. The connector includes a connector housing and a plurality of electrical contacts retained by the connector housing. The connector housing overhangs an edge of the substrate and extends down with respect to the upper surface to a depth from the upper mounting surface that is less than the thickness of the substrate.

In accordance with one embodiment, an electrical connector includes a housing that supports a plurality of electrical contacts. Each electrical contact defines a mating end and an opposing mounting end, and a plurality of mounting terminals disposed at the mounting end. The mounting terminals of each contact are arranged in at least one column extending along a longitudinal direction, such that each column is spaced along a lateral direction, and the mounting terminals of adjacent contacts are longitudinally offset.

An electrical connector assembly is provided that includes a pair of connectors configured to be mounted onto a midplane circuit board in a back-to-back orientation. Each connector includes offset engagement members that mate with corresponding engagement members on the midplane circuit board.

An edge connector for receiving a first circuit board, circuit card, etc. comprises a housing having a circuit board receiving groove. A plurality of electrical contacts are arranged in the board receiving groove. An ejector member is provided for ejecting the board from the housing, the ejector member is translucent or transparent. A light emitter is optically coupled to the ejector member, so that when the light emitter is lit, the light from the light emitter is transmitted through the translucent or transparent ejector member to provide a visual indication which can be seen by the person inserting the circuit board into the connector.
