Provided herein are techniques to facilitate controlling audibility of voice commands spoken in a video conference based on eye gaze tracking. A method may include tracking an eye gaze of the participant in relation to voice-enabled user interface objects provided by the video headset and determining that the participant is not an active speaker for the video conference and has an eye gaze towards a particular voice enabled user interface object. Upon the participant speaking a particular voice command associated with the particular voice-enabled user interface object while the participant is not the active speaker for the video conference and has the eye gaze towards the particular voice-enabled user interface object, the method may include inhibiting the particular voice command that is spoken by the participant from being heard by other participants of the video conference.

Devices, systems, methods, and processes for dynamically generating indications regarding the sustainability of one or more virtual meeting options is described herein. Virtual meetings can have participants join from all over the world and from very different computing devices which can each be powered by different power source types. When selecting a time for a virtual meeting between a number of participants, a large number of combinations may occur with each option having a different level of sustainability associated with it. However, by accessing historical data, sustainability data, participant data and by gathering various virtual meeting settings, a plurality of options can be presented having one or more indications associated with a particular category of sustainability. A sustainability threshold may be determined and utilized to categorize virtual meeting options as well. This sustainability threshold can also be utilized to dynamically alter configurations during the meeting to stay under that threshold.

A method is described and in one embodiment includes requesting from a calendaring system calendaring information for a participant in an online collaboration session, wherein the calendaring information includes free/busy information for the participant; receiving the requested calendaring information; verifying based on processing of the received calendaring information that the participant has a hard stop relative to an end of the online collaboration session, wherein the hard stop is a point in time at which the participant can no longer participate in the online collaboration session; and presenting on a display of user equipment associated with the online collaboration system a hard stop indicator for the participant a first amount of time prior to the hard stop, wherein the hard stop indicator is displayed proximate a representation of the participant.

In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a first interface arrangement that obtains information from at least one data source. The information is associated with the presence of an entity at a location. The apparatus also comprises a processing arrangement that automatically updates a dynamic distribution list that is associated with the location based on the information.

A method and apparatus to process an incoming message is described. The method may comprise, at a recipient system, receiving an incoming message from a message communicator and automatically analyzing message content to identify a keyword included in the message content. Thereafter, a predefined action associated with the keyword may be identified and the action may be performed. In an example embodiment, the predefined action may be a priority with the message, alerting an intended recipient of the message, routing the message to the intended recipient, paging the intended recipient, emailing the message to the intended recipient, sending an SMS message to the intended recipient, or the like. In an example embodiment, a user/owner of a mailbox may search a message database to identify incoming messages which includes the search term in the message content.

Systems and methods for tuning a dictionary of a speech recognition system includes accessing a voice mail record of a user, accessing a recorded audio file of a name of the user in the voice mail record spoken by the user, providing the audio file to a speech recognition system, processing the audio file in the speech recognition system and obtaining a text result, determining whether a confidence score of the text result is below a predetermined threshold, and adding, at least, the name of the user to a list of low confidence names. Alternate spellings for the low confidence names can then be added to the dictionary.

In one implementation, a collaboration server is a conference bridge or other network device configured to host an audio and/or video conference among a plurality of conference participants. The collaboration server sends conference data and a media stream including speech to a speech recognition engine. The conference data may include the conference roster or text extracted from documents or other files shared in the conference. The speech recognition engine updates a default language model according to the conference data and transcribes the speech in the media stream based on the updated language model. In one example, the performance of default language model, the updated language model, or both may be tested using a confidence interval or submitted for approval of the conference participant.

According to certain embodiments, training a transcription system includes accessing recorded voice data of a user from one or more sources. The recorded voice data comprises voice samples. A transcript of the recorded voice data is accessed. The transcript comprises text representing one or more words of each voice sample. The transcript and the recorded voice data are provided to a transcription system to generate a voice profile for the user. The voice profile comprises information used to convert a voice sample to corresponding text.

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving an image of a user's eye at a device having a screen and a camera operable to input the image, processing the image to identify one or more characteristics of the user's eye for use in determining if the user is having difficulty viewing data displayed on the screen, and magnifying the data displayed on the screen if the user is having difficulty viewing the data. In an example embodiment, a method for monitoring a conference call and notifying members of a breakout session to return to the conference call. The method comprises mixing input streams received from participants of a conference call and distributing mixed streams to the participants, a first stream is provided to participants attending the breakout session and a second stream is provided to remaining participants of the conference call. Speech from the second stream is converted to text and the text is searched for predefined keywords. An alert is sent to at least one participant in the breakout session responsive to detecting one of the predefined keywords.

In accordance with an example embodiment, there is disclosed herein an apparatus comprising an alert device, an optical input device; and a controller coupled to the alert device and the optical input device. The controller is configured to send an alert via the alert device in response to a predetermined event. The controller is configured to recognize whether a face is detected by the optical input device, and to discontinue the alert responsive to determining that the face is being detected by the optical input device.

Using face tracking for handling phone events

In one embodiment, a method includes obtaining mobility information associated with a remote device. The mobility information indicates whether the remote device is approximately stationary. The remote device interacts with a server. The method also includes determining if the mobility information indicates that the remote device is approximately stationary, and selecting a first profile of a plurality of profiles if the remote device is approximately stationary. If the remote device is not approximately stationary, a second profiled of the plurality of profiles is selected.

Disclosed in an example embodiment herein is an apparatus comprising a user interface, and a controller coupled to the user interface. The controller is operative to display images associated with a message that has been forwarded at least once in a predefined format on the user interface, where a first image is associated with the original sender of the message. A first image is associated with the original sender of the message, and an additional image is associated with a party forwarding the message. The controller is operative to receive an input associated with the user interface indicating a selection of a displayed image, and plays back content added to the message by a party associated with the selected image.

The user of the object mobile device may opt to permit only those users that are identified in the social interaction data to receive content generated by the user of the object mobile device. The user may opt to alter the status policy seen by other users so that only users that are identified in the social interaction data see the user as available or online.
