An end winding support segment for a generator rotor includes a support segment body with a curved inner surface configured to be adjacent to a rotor shaft, a winding support arm extending radially outward from the support segment body, and an orifice extending from the curved inner surface of the support to an exterior surface of the support adjacent the winding support arm with the orifice configured to transfer lubricant from a surface of the rotor shaft to a winding located on the winding support arm.

A disclosed terminal block assembly for a generator includes a terminal block with a base with first and second transverse terminal surfaces adjoining one another. One of the terminal surfaces includes an increased width greater than a length of a cable terminal lug for providing a lightning strike and creepage barrier. The terminal surfaces include spaced apart protrusions extending from the first and second surfaces to provide spaced apart terminal areas overlapping the first and second surfaces. First and second terminal studs are disposed within each corresponding first and second terminal areas and are electrically connected by a bus bar.

The rotating portion has a plurality of resistors which rotate. A method of installing the terminal block assembly onto a generator includes the step of providing a terminal block with multiple terminal studs. Protrusions that are integral with the terminal block are aligned with corresponding bores in a generator housing. The terminal block is mounted on the generator housing with the protrusions received in the bores. A terminal lead assembly is inserted through the protrusion, and a terminal pad of the terminal lead assembly is arranged over the terminal stud. A terminal lug is fastened to the terminal stud. A terminal cover is secured to the terminal block over the terminal with a boss of the terminal block received in a corresponding recess of the terminal cover.
