A strap clamp style speaker bracket with a fastener base that can be used for straps of many different sizes. The invention also includes the previously mentioned speaker bracket with a similarly shaped fastener base with a dual pivoting linkage to a second strap clamp style speaker bracket for a unique cylindrical speaker. The clamp base has semi-cylindrical grooves on opposing sides and the strap ends have conformal semi-cylindrical protrusions that fit in the grooves. A bolt through the protrusions and grooves and the clamp block secures the clamp. A cylindrical speaker is illustrated. Another embodiment has legs extending from the clamp block to receive a pivot block which provides a dual articulatible speaker support.

Speaker bracket

A water resistant speaker having a water-impermeable spider and an acoustic chamber in air flow communication with the underside of the spider via vents in a spider support and in a bottom panel of a basket of the speaker. The acoustic chamber is attached and sealed to the bottom of the basket. At least one hydrophobic vent is supported in the wall of the acoustic chamber or in the basket behind the spider to limit air pressure in the acoustic chamber. The acoustic chamber may have a passive radiator. The combination of a water impermeable spider and diaphragm, adjacently attached and sealed to the former, assist in preventing water from reaching the magnet assembly and voice coil. A vent in the pole piece, leading to the acoustic chamber, reduces drag on motion of the former, dust cap, and diaphragm.

Water resistant loudspeaker

A water resistant speaker having a water-impermeable spider and an acoustic chamber in air flow communication with the underside of the spider via vents in a spider support and vents in a bottom panel of a basket of the speaker. The acoustic chamber is attached and sealed to the bottom of the basket and is watertight. The acoustic chamber may have a passive radiator. The combination of a water impermeable spider and a water impermeable diaphragm, adjacently attached and sealed to the former, assist in preventing water from reaching the magnet assembly and voice coil. A water impermeable dust cap is attached and sealed to the diaphragm to prevent water from entering around the former. A vent in the pole piece, leading to the acoustic chamber, reduces drag on motion of the former, dust cap, and diaphragm.

The present invention relates to a protective garment for dogs and cats or other quadrupeds. Specifically, the garment is designed to protect wounds, incisions, surgical sites, and related lesions on the animal's body including thoracic and pelvic limbs, truncal area, and head and neck. Additionally the garment is designed to allow attachment of drain suction and similar medical devices.

A lighting and communication system with a horn enclosure for recessed ceiling panel or wall mounting, including a speaker with a horn expansion area to direct sound waves from the speaker to a horn enclosure front, at least one light enclosure located within the horn enclosure, the light enclosure defining a light cavity which is separated from said horn expansion area, with a light source inside the light cavity. The light source can be an LED array, which is capable of displaying text, colors or patterns in response to a control system signal.

Lighting and audio communication system

An improved shallow speaker is disclosed having a molded diaphragm with an outer, depending, annular cylindrical subcone that connects to a channel formed in the outer perimeter of the spider. Embodiments for round and cornered (polygonal, etc.) speakers are provided. The top plate has a raised outer annular portion for receiving an annular spider flange with or without screw holes for clamping the inner spider flange with a spider ring. In the cornered speaker embodiments, flanges extend from the cylindrical portions to the cornered portions including from a diaphragm inner glue flange over the depressed central portion and from the annular cylindrical subcone both outwardly and inwardly to top diaphragm portions. Routing of the tinsel may be through one or more openings in the annular cylindrical subcone and along the diaphragm inner surfaces, with channels in or on those surfaces for securely routing the tinsel.

This invention relates to a means of heating a process fluid to elevated temperature thru use of heat resistant particulates as a heat transfer medium. Down-ward flowing particulates, enter the top of a refractory lined containment vessel, and are heated to elevated temperature by direct contact with an up-flowing stream of hot combustion products, generated by side wall burners located at the bottom of the containment vessel. The heated particulate stream is separated from the combustion gas stream at the bottom of the containment vessel and the spent combustion gas is directed to a downstream tubular convection section for heat recovery and for further processing to recover vaporized process fluid, as in the case of liquid feed preheating for delayed coking, or for heat recovery only, as in the case of gas cracking. The particulate stream is conveyed to the bottom of a second refractory lined containment vessel, by means of an incoming stream of process fluid, and is raised to the desired outlet temperature by direct contact with the particulate stream. The particulates are separated from the process fluid in a low velocity region located in an expanded section at the top of the second vessel, and the process fluid is processed further in downstream equipment. Spent particulates are returned to the top of the first vessel, completing a continuous cycle.

Direct fired heater utilizing particulates as a heat transfer medium

An embodiment of the invention consists of a process heater with a radiant section and an overhead convection section, the radiant section having a vertical cylindrical, contiguous, helical, tubular coil, having a bottom process fluid inlet and top process fluid outlet. The process fluid coil is contained in a refractory lined enclosure of square cross section and is exposed to an up flowing stream of combustion products, generated by burning coal on a continuous, traveling, chain grate stoker. The stoker is located at the base of the radiant section, receives a continuous deposit of coarse coal, with a minimum of fines, from a hopper located at one end of the stoker chain grate and discharges essentially coal free ash at the opposite end of the chain grate, thru a nozzle provided with a water seal. One or more centrifugal solids&#x2014;gas separators are provided at the radiant section flue gas outlets for the purpose of removing ash particulates from the flue gas streams, before the latter enter the overhead convection section. Since the flue gas enters the convection section very nearly devoid of particulates, the convection section may be of conventional design, utilizing bare or extended surface tubes, on closely spaced equilateral or quadrilateral centers.

Coal fired process heaters

This invention relates to the design of direct fired heaters which consist of vertically oriented refractory lined enclosures containing tubular heat transfer elements, the elements partially surrounding a cluster of burners. The burners fire gaseous fuel and generate high temperature combustion products which allow for the transfer of heat, by radiation and convection, from the combustion products to the heat transfer elements and the continuous flow of process fluid contained therein. The transferred heat raises the temperature of the fluid from the design temperature at the inlet to the design temperature at the outlet, at a heat transfer rate commensurate with the temperature differential existing at any given location. The surface area requirements of the heat transfer elements and that of the enclosure surrounding the heat transfer elements is significantly reduced by limiting firebox recirculation of burner generated combustion products, thereby increasing overall temperature differentials and heat transfer rates between combustion products and process fluid. Gains in heating surface reduction are not accompanied by losses in heater run length because low process fluid temperatures and high inside heat transfer coefficients are provided, which minimize process fluid film temperature in areas where high heat transfer rates prevail.

Reducing heat transfer surface area requirements of direct fired heaters without decreasing run length

A gas-liquid processing device used for contacting a gas stream with a liquid stream and consisting of spray nozzles housed in a containment vessel. The device finds application for transferring, on a continuous basis, chemical constituents from one phase to another. Constituent transfer is facilitated by passing the liquid through low pressure gas assisted spray nozzles, which generate multitudes of small liquid droplets that provide large amounts of surface area between liquid and gas phases. The spray nozzles consist of large diameter tubular elements wherein liquid feed flows, as films and/or rivulets, down the inner surface of the elements. Gravitational forces, and drag forces cause the liquid to fragment, so as to form streams of small diameter liquid droplets in contact with the gas phase. Improved gas-liquid contact times are realized because the droplets flow downward in very nearly vertical and parallel paths.
