An actuator assembly includes a housing, and a clamp disposed within the housing. The clamp is configured to attach the actuator assembly to a damper jackshaft or valve stem or valve linkage shaft. The jackshaft is operable to control the position of one or more damper blades. The valve stem and valve linkage shaft control the position of the valve plug. The clamp is accessible via a slotted opening which is unobstructed at one end. A motor is configured to rotate the clamping device within the housing. A control module is coupled to the motor and configured to control the damper or valve actuator assembly. In embodiments, a communications module facilitates communications to and from the damper actuator assembly over a network, and allows both remote monitoring of the damper and remote control of the damper actuator assembly or of the valve and remote control of the valve actuator assembly.

An automatic control valve actuator assembly is configured to control opening and closing of the valve via positioning of a valve closure member. The valve actuator is further configured to determine the volume of fluid flowing through the valve. In an embodiment, the valve actuator includes an integral energy consumption calculation and retention module configured to calculate heat energy for energy consumption tracking.

A valve and actuator assembly that includes a valve configured to control a flow of liquid into a coil or heat exchanger. The valve and actuator assembly further includes a valve actuator configured to control opening and closing of the valve via positioning of a valve closure member. The valve actuator is further configured to provide both a maximum flow rate and a minimum flow rate of the liquid through the valve. In an embodiment, the valve actuator includes a valve closure member position sensor configured to determine the position of the valve closure member based on a flow rate of the liquid through the valve.

An fluid control valve and actuator assembly includes a valve configured to control a flow of liquid, and a valve actuator configured to control opening and closing of the valve, and further configured to provide both a maximum flow rate and a minimum flow rate of the liquid through the valve. In a particular embodiment, the valve actuator has a communications module configured to facilitate communication with the valve actuator over a network, and further configured to allow both remote monitoring of the flow through the valve, and remote control of the valve actuator.

Advanced valve actuator with remote location flow reset

A valve and actuator assembly includes a valve to control a flow of liquid into a coil, and an actuator to control the valve. The assembly includes a first temperature sensor to sense the temperature of liquid flowing through the valve, a second temperature sensor to sense the temperature of air surrounding the coil, and a flow meter to measure a flow rate of liquid through the valve. The actuator includes a module that receives data from the first and second temperature sensors and from the flow meter, and determines, based on data received from the flow meter and temperature sensors, a likelihood that the liquid in the coil will freeze. The actuator operates the valve to allow a minimum flow of the liquid through the valve and coil during a potential freeze condition. The minimum flow is sufficient to prevent the liquid in the coil from freezing.
