Technologies are disclosed for position and mapping management to collect information from users for delivering items to locations associated with the users. The position and mapping management can include identifying a user profile being eligible for customized path delivery, receiving, from a user device, a customized position response including a confirmed position selection associated with a customized position, and receiving, from the user device, a customized path response including a confirmed path selection associated with a customized path. The customized position and the customized path can be validated and utilized for automated item delivery and/or partially automated item delivery.

Position and mapping management system

An item dispensing vehicle with selectively controllable bays is described herein. In an example, a system includes a first bay configured to retain a first set of items on a first set of conveyor belts that ends at a first opening. The system also includes a second bay configured to retain a second set of items on a second set of conveyor belts that ends at a second opening. The system additionally includes a divider positioned between the first bay and the second bay and a door comprising a third set of conveyor belts and operable between one or more open positions and a closed position. The door blocks the first opening and the second opening in the closed position. The first opening and the second opening can be at least partially unblocked in an open position of the one or more open positions.

Item dispensing vehicle with selectively controllable bays

A system can function relative to an item, a tether, and a robotic manipulator. The tether can correspond to a loop or other structure that can be mountable or mounted in an installed state in which the tether is secured with the item to facilitate lifting the item by lifting of the tether. The robotic manipulator can include a robotic end effector engageable with the tether in the installed state. The robotic end effector can be configurable to an engaged state in which the tether is coupled with the robotic end effector. The robotic manipulator in the engaged state can be operable to move the item by lifting of the tether in the installed state.
