A latch assembly includes a latch body, a fastener longitudinally inserted through the latch body, a traveling body, a latch pawl, and a spring device. The fastener includes a head and a shank. The shank includes a thread portion and a second portion, with the second portion disposed between the thread portion and the head. The traveling body is threaded onto the thread portion of the shank such that the traveling body longitudinally traverses the thread portion as the fastener is rotated. The latch pawl is pivotally coupled to the traveling body and pivots while engaging and disengaging the latch body. The spring device is disposed on the shank between the head and the latch body. The spring device surrounds the second portion of the shank.

Latch assembly for a modular device

A thermal management assembly in accordance with one example may include a first thermal management member that includes a first main region that is continuous, a first connection region that is discontinuous, and a first top side. The thermal management assembly may also include a second thermal management member that includes a second main region, a second connection region, and a second top side. The second main region and the second connection region are continuous. The thermal management assembly may further include a connection member to couple the first thermal management member and the second thermal management member to a memory device via the first connection region and the second connection region. The first top side and the second top side are substantially level with a top side of the memory device in a horizontal direction when the first thermal management member and the second thermal management member are coupled to the memory device.

Thermal management assembly

An example bracket unit to control installation of an electronic module is provided herein. The bracket unit includes a bracket body, a bracket plate, and a fastener. The bracket plate includes a receiving member and an alignment indicator. The receiving member to engage with a rail unit and move between an equilibrium position and a displaced position based on a movement of the rail unit. The alignment indicator connected to the receiving member, such that movement of the alignment indicator corresponds to the movement of the receiving member. The fastener to slideably connect the bracket plate and the bracket body together.

Interlock bracket unit

An assembly to connect two electronic components is provided herein. The assembly includes a lever unit with a lever and a base. The lever includes a primary cam member and a secondary cam member connected thereto. The lever also includes a hook member extending therefrom. The base includes a guide structure to engage with a drive pin. Rotation of the lever to move a first electronic component along a y-axis towards, a backplane. The secondary cam member to move the drive pin along the guide structure, and the hook member to engage with a second electronic component and mate the first electronic component and the second electronic component along the second axis.

Lever unit

An example of a server rack lifting apparatus can include a first side portion, a second side portion opposing the first side portion, a back portion connecting the first side portion to the second side portion, a first lifting surface associated with the first side portion to engage a portion of a server rack, a second lifting surface associated with the second side portion to engage an opposing portion of the server rack, and a motive component to adjust a height of the first and second lifting surfaces.

Apparatus () is provided for mounting media drives. Top and bottom frames () are coupled together in a pivoting relationship (). The frames () are configured to receive top and bottom media drives, respectively. In a closed position, the top frame () fits substantially over the bottom frame (). In an open position, the top frame () pivots away from the bottom frame () by a pivot angle () sufficient to insert the bottom media drive into or remove the bottom media drive from the bottom tray ().

Pivoting mounts for media drives

A drive carrier comprises a base adapted to receive a drive, two opposing sides extending from the base with each side having first and second stand-off receiving apertures that each receives a stand-off from a surface on which the drive carrier is positioned. The carrier comprises a handle coupled to each side via a hinge. The handle has a stand-off receiving notch associated with each side and each stand-off receiving notch receives one of the stand-offs when the drive carrier is locked in place on the surface. Each notch applies insertion and removal forces against the received stand-off during insertion and removal of the carrier. The hinge defines a plane through the hinges and parallel to the base. The handle pivots downward toward the plane and base to lock the drive carrier to the surface. When the drive carrier is in a locked position, the handle rests above the plane.

An electronic module enclosure has a frame with an airflow opening. A gate positioned within airflow opening pivots between open and closed positions, allowing a maximum and minimum amount of airflow, respectively, through the airflow opening.

An apparatus for mounting a rack-mount module having mounting brackets for mounting a horizontal support member between vertical support columns of an equipment rack. The mounting bracket comprises a base member and a latch. The base member comprises integrated side and end plates, with the side plate being securable to the horizontal support member and the end plate constructed to vertically support the mounting bracket thereon. The latch detachably adjoins the mounting bracket to the vertical support column, and is constructed to be hand-operated to detach the mounting bracket from the vertical support column in response to a tool-less manual manipulation of the latch.

A cable support arm is provided. In one embodiment, the cable support arm includes first and second arm sections that are rotatably coupled one over the other at a hinge structure. In this embodiment, the first and second arm sections include attachment mechanisms configured to couple the arm sections to a respective housing and device. One of the attachment mechanisms of this embodiment may include a mounting base and a mounting bracket that is reversibly coupleable to the mounting base to enable ambidextrous mounting of one of the arm sections to the device.

A swappable mount and cable support arm for a rack mount system. The swappable mount may have a variety of toolfree mounts, threaded fasteners, latches, and other mounting mechanisms. The swappable mount is interchangeably coupled to the cable support arm to facilitate adaptation to a particular rack mount system. One embodiment has a releasable hinge mechanism to facilitate the interchangeable coupling between the swappable mount and the cable support arm. The cable support arm may have a variety of expandable support structures, such as pivotally coupled arm sections. One embodiment of the cable support arm has first and second arm sections rotatably coupled one over the other at a hinge.
