The present disclosure concerns improvements for a gas-powered fixing tool, and particularly a combustion chamber or precombustion chamber for a gas-powered fixing tool, a working chamber for a gas-powered fixing tool, a fuel gas injection device for a gas-powered fixing tool and a gas-powered fixing tool including one or more of these elements.

For a gas-powered fixing tool

Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a gas-powered fastener-driving tool. In one embodiment, the tool includes a combustion or precombustion chamber a valve comprising a body that is mobile within the combustion or precombustion chamber between a first closed position and a second open position. The body defines two opposing orifices at longitudinal ends of the body. The orifices form part of a bore defined through the body that enables gas to pass through the valve. This makes it possible to limit the pressure drops as gas is being admitted to or exhausted from the chamber, thus making it possible to optimize the duration of the firing cycle of the tool.

Combustion chamber for a gas-powered fixing tool

Gas fixing tool, including at least one combustion chamber, a trigger, a device for injecting fuel into the at least one chamber, a member for actuating the device, and a bearing member intended to be brought to bear on a support material, characterized in that it further comprises a safety member configured to cooperate on the one hand with the actuating member and on the other hand with the trigger, so that the trigger is locked in its first position when the actuating member is in a first position.

Gas fixing tool

Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a fuel cartridge for a gas-powered fastener-driving tool. In one embodiment, the fuel cartridge comprises a body that has a longitudinal axis and that defines an internal fuel storage cavity. The body is shaped and sized to be inserted at least partially into and removed from a housing defined by a case of the tool via translation along the longitudinal axis. The cartridge also includes a connection and fuel dispensing end fitting connected to the body and sized and shaped to engage an end fitting of the tool within the housing. The cartridge also includes a first cam surface extending at least partially around the longitudinal axis and configured to, during relative rotation of the first cam surface and a second cam surface, engage the second cam surface to facilitate removal of the fuel cartridge from the housing.

A fixing tool including a nose for guiding of fixing elements and a striking plate for striking of the fixing elements, wherein the fixing tool is configured to fire a fixing element of a first type and a fixing element of a second type with dimensional and/or geometric characteristics which are different from those of the fixing element of the first type.

Combined fixing tool

A magazine for a fastener tool comprising a first guideway for heads of fastener elements of a first type, the first guideway extending in a direction (A) and being configured to position tips of the fastener elements of first type near a front edge extending substantially parallel to the direction (A); and comprising a second guideway for heads of fastener elements of a second type, the fastener elements of the first type having a different length from that of the fastener elements of second type, the second guideway being configured to position tips of the fastener elements of second type near the front edge. The magazine further comprises a poka-yoke configured to prevent inserting of the fastener elements of second type in the first guideway.

The present disclosure concerns a method and an electronic ignition control device of a combustion chamber of a gas-powered fixing tool designed to optimize the quality of the shooting of fixation elements by the tool. According to the principle of the present disclosure, the triggering of the ignition of the chamber to produce the shot is commanded on the condition that the time between the moment when the user places the tool against a work surface and the moment when he pulls on an actuation trigger of the tool is greater than a predefined delay time, to ensure an optimal filling of the combustion chamber with the combustible gas. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the triggering of the ignition is enabled on the supplemental condition that a signal of medium ignition voltage is greater than a trigger threshold voltage.

Method for controlling the actuation of a gas-powered fixing tool and the corresponding device

The tool is to be used for driving fastening members into a supporting material. It comprises a cylinder (), with a piston (), a combustion chamber (), a cylinder head () bearing a fuel igniting means () in the chamber (), a pin guide (), for receiving a fastening member and the piston () shaft () and a cage (). The tool comprises an engine for propelling a piston including a shaft for driving a fastening member into a supporting material and through a pin guide, with means for adjusting the depth of drive of the piston shaft outside the pin guide at the end of the propulsion and at the stop of the piston in abutment against stop means. The pin guide is mounted free in translation and the depth of drive adjusting means comprise an adjustment knurl with a knurl shaft arranged so as to be in abutment against the pin guide and to push the pin guide forwards under the rotation action of the knurl.

The tool has, in a casing (), electrically operated components and a housing () to accommodate a battery () that powers the components, with detachable elements () of securing the battery in its housing in a position of mechanical locking and electrical connection to the components and in a position in which it is mechanically retained in its housing but electrically disconnected. The securing element () is designed to retrain the battery () in the electrically disconnected position only by friction (), thus avoiding any wrong move.

The indirect-firing apparatus includes a combustion chamber for a cartridge (62), a trigger for igniting the cartridge, a barrel, an inertia block in the barrel, an anchor guide (7) designed to receive an anchor, a shuttle (34) in the anchor guide (7) mounted for movement from an anchor loading position to a position for firing and driving of the anchor, mechanisms (63, 11, 46) for displacement of the shuttle from one position to the other, and a barrel holder (61) for concomitantly controlling the closure of the combustion chamber (3) and means for displacement of the shuttle (34). The mechanisms (63, 11, 46) for displacement of the shuttle (34) are arranged so as to drive the shuttle (34) beyond the firing position (25). Damping components (33, 38), when the shuttle (34) has reached its firing position (25), absorb the action of the displacement mechanisms (63, 11, 46).
