A method of attaching a spring (,) to a brake pressure equalizing device (,) by securing a clamping collar (,) to an attachment bar (,) of a vehicle. The attachment bar (,) has a circular section which connected to a flat (,) whereas the clamping collar (,) is an open and deformable ring (,) created by a first lug (,) being joined to a second lug (,). A profiled insert piece (,) has an internal shape which matches the profile of the circular section and flat of the attachment bar and an external shape which matches the deformable ring (,) is inserted between the attachment bar (,) and deformable ring (,). A nut (,) is connected to a screw (,) that extends between the first lug (,) and the second lug (,) and the spring is attached to the second lug (,) and brake pressure equalizing device (,). The clamping collar (,) is rotated on the profile insert piece (,) until a desired tension is achieved in the spring (,). The nut (,) is thereafter tightened to bring the first lug (,) toward the second lug (,) and bring the ring (,) into frictional engagement with the profile insert piece (,) to fix the location of the attachment collar (,) with respect to the attachment bar (,).

Assembling device with angular adjustment and method using same

A load-controlled brake compensator for a vehicle possessing a chassis and at least one axle, includes a fixed part (10) solidly attached to the chassis and comprising at least one compensating valve provided with a pivotingly mounted control lever (12) of which one end is associated with the axle via a preloaded spring device (18) whose length is preset by way of a temporary strut (22) before one of its ends (20) is fixed to the axle, the other end of the spring device being solidly attached to a rod (16) capable of sliding in an opening (14) made in the end of the lever (12). It further comprises an elastic mechanism (24) tending to restore the spring device (18) towards the lever and a locking means (28, 29, 30) allowing the sliding movement of the rod (16) in the opening (14) to be prevented after fixing of the spring device (18) to the axle and before removal of the temporary strut (22).

Device for mounting a protective cap (18) on a support (12), the support (12) having a base surface (20) intended to be at least partially protected by the cap (18), and a first bearing surface (28, 38, 54), the device incorporating a first rigid component (22, 32, 44), joined to the periphery of the cap (18), and a locking component (26, 40) situated between the first rigid component and the first bearing surface, characterized in that the locking component (26, 40) is inserted by sliding laterally between the first component (22, 32, 44) and the first bearing surface (28, 38, 54) so as to fix the cap (18) in position bearing against the base surface (20) of the support.

Device for mounting a protective cap on a support

Braking corrector of the type incorporating a simple or differential piston provided with a passage joining together the inlet and outlet chambers, a valve controlling communication through the passage, a return spring joined to a component, which is movable as a function of the vehicle load, to return the piston to a rest position, and an abutment holding the valve open in this same position. The invention provides for the corrector (10) to be provided with an elastic device (40) for limiting the travel of the piston (16) towards its rest position, this device only coming into action after the valve (24) has lifted from its seat (26) and subsequently modulating the retraction of the piston as a function of the thrust which is transmitted to it by the return spring (36). Applicable to the braking systems of motor vehicles.
